Unfortunately, this was the worst stay I've ever had at a Sandman hotel. They are usually very good which is why I chose this for a one night layover in yyc on the way to Jamaica. We arrived at 1030pm and we're exhausted. The phone number for the shuttle that was provided was incorrect. When we got into the room and unpacked, we noticed large bugs in the room. The room is actually poorly maintained and in need of renovation. My wife things there might be mouse droppings behind the toilet. It was too late to do anything about it as we needed to get some sleep before our early morning flight. I'm writing this at 4 in the morning as I've been waking up to strange sounds above me from pipes expanding and contracting after someone above took a shower it seems. I would never stay at this hotel again. Worst ever.

Very conveniently located near the airport - which was great. Not much to see, or do, out that way but if I had really wanted to do something that evening, I would have stayed at the property downtown Calgary.

The small window air conditioner was not working properly, called frontdesk and he said he will get checked but never did. opened windows but still was pretty warm/hot and uncomfortable night.

Very friendly and professional staff. Easy check in and out. Pool was loud and rowdy filled with teenagers in small area. But room was clean with large bathroom.

Very comfortable room and very quiet. Staff are very helpful and dining options are excellent.
The only disappointment was the amount of plastic wrapping, but perhaps it's just my lack of experience with travelling. Disposable coffee cups were wrapped in plastic. Plastic drinking cups were wrapped in plastic. Never seen that before. I get the need for things to be sanitized, but wow.
