I had numerous issues...first the air conditioner in my room didn't work either day I was there(August in Chicago, so the room was very stiffling). The first evening I called the front desk that the air didn't work and was asked if I had a one bed or two and I said two bed and was told that they didn't have any other rooms available so he would just send someone up in the morning to fix it. I just hung up rather than argue with him. other issues included the bathroom door not shutting all the way, the bathroom tiles uneven leaving a sharp edge on a couple tiles, hot tub was slimy, elevator not working the morning we left and I was on 3rd floor and handicapped (neuropathy in my feet so climbing stairs is hard for me) and garbage left all over hallway and stairs. I requested a full refund at check out and the gal that worked the front desk didn't have authorization so she called her manager who did not want to talk to me at that moment and told her he would call me back the next morning...well we are on day 3 and no phone call and no refund.

We were on a trip cross country and this was our sixth and final hotel of the journey. Had never stayed at one of these hotels before and it was the only one of the 6 different ones that was bad. It was a Comfort Inn converted to a MainStay and it seemed the conversion was not complete? It was the first time ever (and I have traveled a lot over the years), that I had to ask for new sheets. When I started to get ready to get into bed, I saw three different kinds of hairs in the sheets and yellowish stains near the pillow area of the sheets. I was promptly given a new set when I called the front desk. The bathroom was not very clean and the uncarpeted floor of the entire room was not well swept and was sticky. The only lighting in the room is from two lamps - no overhead lighting and we had to turn on the microwave light to get any light in the kitchenette area. I will likely never stay in a Choice Hotels system in the future.

There were homeless people everywhere, crackheads smoking in the entrance area at all times, kids screaming in the morning, dogs barking in the rooms all day long. Staff has attitude issues. I felt unsafe leaving my car in the parking lot or walking around at night.

Comfortable, Clean Stay
As we traveled from the east coast to the west coast, what was evident in the Comfort Inn brand was the consistency. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. I should note that at the time of our stay, the elevator was out. In fact, it was out of service until the next morning. The front desk was very accommodating, finding us a room on the first floor so we didn't have to lug all of our stuff up flights of stairs.

Very Convenient
Pros:It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and welcoming. Several breakfast options.
Location: Its location was perfect. Near enough to the interstate for convenience, but without interstate noise.
This was a wonderful hotel. We were only there for one night, but it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and welcoming. There were several breakfast options. I's location was perfect. Everything you want from shopping to dining and entertainment was right there. Pool and hot tub year round.

Everything was excellent. Everything has been updated. Bed was extremely comfortable. Has everything for very inexpensive. We had a king room and while not much room to walk around, it was perfect for two adults.

First off I got a great deal on the room so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, you know the old you get what you pay for... But from the moment I walked in the door I was impressed with this hotel.
The lady at the front desk couldn't have been nicer, and was even able to switch me to a double room when my reservation came in for a single. She was personable and very helpful. There was also very good hot coffee available in the lobby and it was late afternoon.
The room was excellant. Seemed like it was recently remodeled even. VERY clean and large. The decor was very nice as well. The beds were super comfortable. They reminded me almost of the beds at some of the high end hotels I have stayed at.
My daughter and I came mainly for the pool, and it too was great. There was also a large hot tub that was very comfortable. My daughter spent many hours in the pool during our stay and she loved it. There were always plenty of pool towels as well.
Now on to breakfast. Free HOT breakfast for what I paid was NOT expected. They had both regular and blueberry waffles, and eggs and sausage one day, and eggs and biscuits and gravy the next! I'm a huge b&g fan and they were actually very good! They also had the standard cereal, baked goods, and juices. There was a lady on staff who always made sure everything was stocked and was also very personable.
The location of the hotel is also very convenient. Right across from the mall and any shopping/dining you would ever need. And my daughter noticed Chuck-e-cheese out the window as well so we had to go there for dinner one night!
Overall I was very very impressed with this hotel and I will definitely be staying there again.
