Only accepts cash - what? No AC, just a fan. One dim ceiling light, no lamps. TV didn't work. WiFi password didn't work. Moldy shower tiles. And they charge $135/night.

I liked the view from the corner of the patio area in front of the room. That’s the only thing we liked. The bath tub was dirty, one of the lights in the bathroom didn’t come on, the screens were ripped, the carpet was rippled and moist. It was very disappointing for the price I paid. The pics on the homepage are deceiving.

The pacific inn was so dirty! Coming into our room woth soaked floors dirty carpets, kitchen was filthy, restroom was not cleaned, and worst part was the headboard had hand prints all over it. The bed had no matress pad and only 2 sheets. I never thought i had to wear shoes inside my hotel room.

Not Worth the Money: Safety and Health Hazzard

Pros: nice and pleasant people run the place
Cons: Read our review and make some changes, clean up the place and make it safer
Location: the beach was nearby, within walking distance. if you are young and can walk far distances then this place would be okay if it were clean
Yes it is close to the beach but not worth the stay. 1. moldy, dirty curtain and dirty shower floor 2. no lip on shower to keep water in, water floods onto the bathroom floor and into the bedroom. There are 2 drains but floor is slippery and a danger especially for older folk 3. always need 2 remote controls to operate television 4. no dial tone on room phone. Had to walk to office to ask for assist 5. refrigerator unplugged and we did not know until morning but too late 6. light switch by bathroom door but light did not work. Had to walk into dark bathroom and feel for second switch 7. shower hook did not work while taking shower. had to hold at the same time we tried to bathe 8. poor parking accommodations, maybe 5 spots in courtyard 9. nowhere to hang clothes, no hangers or hooks in bathroom My husband is 84 years old. I had to place towels on the bathroom floor to prevent slipping and we had to sleep with the light on because no easy switch in bathroom. Very unsafe. it looked like a room meant for someone with a wheelchair. when we asked if there were any better rooms we were told all the rooms are the same. Nothing like the picture shown on your website. Old, dirty carpet. Nice and pleasant people run the place.

Overpriced, Noisy, & Limited Internet

Location: You can walk to Pt. Fermin and to vistas of San Pedro Bay. Within a block are 2 excellent breakfast joints & a small market. Ports O' Call is nearby.
This place was built in the mid-20th century and there's been no significant upgrading and a notable lack of maintenance. For example, there are large double sliding windows facing the street on the room we rented and one of the two sliders had cheap old fashion plastic clips that would lock the window shut upon closing, except that one of the two windows plastic clip was worn/broken so that window didn't lock. Our ground level room faced busy Pacific St which has a fair amount of foot traffic, so we were concerned about leaving our valuables in an unlockable room so we took our most valuable items with us in the car every time we left the room. With our room facing Pacific St it was pretty noisy that weekend night, at least until about midnight. The room had no air conditioning and the weekend we stay, though it was in October, had the 90 degree temps that SoCal will some times get in the fall. I noticed it also only had an old fashion wall furnace for heat, so it would not likely heat well in winter. One of the two lights (the one near the sink) wasn't working, either. There was no indication when we booked that we would be a room with a handicapped shower, which we wouldn't have taken if we had known that's what we'd get. Another problem was the lack of Internet service. Rooms that are far from the office do not receive service from the router. We sorely needed Internet so it was a real problem for us.

Walking distance to the beach!

Pros: So close to the beach and cafes. Very quiet when I stayed there. King size bed was very comfortable and no bugs.
Cons: Bathroom cleanliness. The style of tub is old and very hard to clean.
Location: Cabrillo Beach & Aquarium, lighthouse, shopping & restaurants. Short distance to a battleship, ports of call, and a marine mammal care & rescue.
I arrived late and the clerk was very nice. I didn't get the room I booked but saved some money! The king size bed was wonderful and the TV very nice. The frig made some noise but not an issue. The microwave didn't work but the hotel clerk warmed my food in his. The bathroom had upgraded plumbing but wasn't clean to my expectations. The sink and inside toilet was clean. The outside of the toilet and the tub were not up to par. Note to self-bring magic eraser! I felt very safe walking to the beach and cafes by myself. The Lighthouse Café was excellent. I stayed on weeknights so it was super quiet! I didn't know San Pedro was so nice.
