Highly recommend Hotel Colosseum! The location of the hotel is fantastic and an easy walk from the Termini station. The staff at the hotel were very professional and knowledgeable and were able to provide us with some delicious restaurant recommendations and some suggestions about Rome. The hotel was exceptionally clean. We also really enjoyed to complimentary breakfast. The rooftop patio was a fantastic place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening with a drink (or just to take in the spectacular views!). We also appreciated the complimentary luggage storage as we arrived much earlier then check in time and we departed late in the evening. Highly recommend Hotel Colosseum! I would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it. Enjoy your stay!

My chief complaint is the pictures of the single room online don’t match the actual room. I was first put in a single on the first floor which had little light and a view of the very dirty open space right outside the room. The hotel was able to move me to the third floor, same room, on my third day, which at least had better light and a view of the adjoining buildings. The staff overall were excellent. The hotel is given three stars but it’s my opinion that’s a stretch.

Comment from Hotel Management

6 May 2022 by Mr Stefano Ricci, General Manager

Dear Terry, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. Your kind words about the friendly and professional service you received from our team members are much appreciated. However, we regret that you were not entirely satisfied with your stay. While the pictures shown on all booking platforms are a true representation of our property, unfortunately, we are unable to show photos of every room as they have varying layouts. However, we are pleased to know that our team were able to offer you a room better suited to your requirements. We look forward to welcoming you back on a future trip. Kind regards, Mr Stefano Ricci, General Manager

I only stayed here for 1 night before my flight home. All of the common areas, like the bar and reception were nice and clean. They provide a good breakfast in the morning which was a nice benefit. My room was just ok. One outlet was broken under the desk so the hot water maker did not work, my drain cover in the bathroom was broken, the bedding felt worn & old, and the air conditioner made an awful rattling sound that kept me up most of the night. Otherwise, everyone working at the hotel was very nice, helpful, accomodating, and welcoming. It was just "ok." I would definately choose another, nicer accomodation if I come on holiday to Roma again.

Property was lovely. We had a room on the seventh floor with a beautiful terrace overlooking the city with a partial view of the colosseum. Air conditioning was great! Highly recommend this hotel.

This was are second time to stay at Hotel Colosseum. The first time was just my wife and I, but this time we brought a small group with us. The staff was very helpful and we especially thank Diego and Gregorio. The breakfast in the morning delicious. They opened early to accommodate us with our scheduled tours. We found the location to be very centrally located. If you want mints on your pillow this is not the place. But if you want a good clean value, I highly recommend.

Quality stay

This hotel was within walking distance of Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore. Where there was a taxi stand and the rates were fairly cheap. It cost us about 20 Euro to go from there to Vatican City. There were a couple restaurants located right around the hotel. The hotel was within walking distance from the Colosseum, it took about 10 minutes to walk there from this hotel. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was okay its standard European breakfast so people who would like an American breakfast you won’t find it here.

Great hotel near the middle of Rome

Pros: The Concierge was VERY helpful with the surrounding area and all our questions! Very quiet!
Location: Monti area has many great restaurants. Colosseum 10-15 minute walk. Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore less than 1 mile away. Termini 10-15 min. walk
Great Hotel with very knowledgable and friendly staff. Hotel is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the Colosseum and the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore is right down the road. Rooftop for sunset is a must and my wife and I enjoyed the amazing views of Rome with wine and snacks! Breakfast was limited but it was a perfect way to start the day, very Roman. Be sure to check out the surrounding Monti area and it's amazing restaurants! Perfect stay only wish it could have been longer!

Bang for the buck!

Pros: Location, Staff, Cleanliness, Fast and Reliable Internet
Cons: Lol....Cold Milk (this was the ONLY thing my 19 year old son could find "wrong"...
Location: Small, quiet street across fro a church. Colosseum, Basillica, Roman Forum, and Train Terminal all a short walk away...
This hotel is what you want staying in Rome! Quite location near the train terminal and several major attractions. The room we had was small, but very clean and if you really want to appreciate Rome, you will be putting 15,000 steps on your "Fitbit" every day and will just want a place to sleep. Bathroom was also very small, but meticulously clean and modern. The staff was always friendly and willing to help. The conceriege spike perfect English and was very helpful when you needed assistance. The breakfast provided is the standard European fair and once again, the ladies who keep the buffet and tables clean were very nice. For you Americans the lack of "cold milk" might be a little off putting, and the choice of food different the you would have at home...but you aren't at home, and no apologies are necessary - it was nice! The rooftop terrace is very nice, but don't plan on using it during your stay if you come from October - the end of March.....definitely a warm weather area. They have a room to store your luggage on the day of arrival and day of departure....We could not have had a more satisfying experience!! Molto Bene!! Thank you to the entire staff!!
