Stayed at Ladera for my birthday and my boyfriend and I had the most amazing, tranquil, and fun experience! Rohan and Devonte particularly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable! No need for a fourth wall with our spectacular view from our paradise ridge room and no need for ac with such beautiful weather in December. The bar/dasheene restaurant staff were also amazing and made you feel at home by learning our names and their warm welcomes each day. Thank you Ladera!

Ladera is a BEAUTIFUL resort. My husband and I went for his birthday and we had such an amazing time. The views are breathless and the friendliness of literally every single staff member was amazing ! They did everything I requested and went above and beyond to make our stay special ! We will be returning !

Pictures don't do justice, the setting and the staff are truly amazing! The setting in the rain forest with views of both Pitons and private pools make this an unbelievably spectacular resort. However, it is the staff that make it even better. Everyone knows you, are extremely friendly and go out of their way to ensure everything is to your liking. My only caution is that this is in a rain forest; therefore, at night the birds and frogs are loud if you are a light sleeper. COVID restrictions are strictly enforced on the island (our temperature was taken ~6 times per day) which was great but it meant that you were restricted to approved excursions and couldn't wander on your own. However, the hotel booked great trips for us. St Lucia was amazing but Ladera was even better.

Not worth your time

Pros: The view is amazing
Cons: Service
Unfortunately, the service at Ladera doesn't match the expense. We recently just stayed for three nights. I scheduled a car to pick us up at the airport that never came. When we arrived to the hotel there was no one at the front (even though the hotel was aware of our arrival time based on our back and forth correspondence). The front desk attendant was very nice but they never apologized for not picking us up. It only got worse from there. They messed up our food orders (more than once), never came to the pool to offer service or drinks, and gym machines were all broken (except one bike). To top it off the electricity went out the second night for 45 minutes to an hour and they never even apologized to the people staying. We met another couple that was appalled that they never even offered us a free cocktail. We left and went to Viceroy, Total 360* difference. Only stay there!

Beautiful hotel in the mountains

Pros: Open rooms with amazing views of Piton mountains and beautiful flowers/plants. Each room has its own pool and a spacious open shower.
Location: Hotel property is in the mountains - a 15 minute drive down to the beach. 15 minute drive to town of Soufriere and also near volcano and mud springs.
Beautiful hotel in the mountains with views of the Pitons and Sugar Beach down below. A truly magical experience with spacious 'open' rooms and 'open' showers. Truly exceptionally friendly staff and excellent food - a world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Just as pictured and described!

Pros: The staff was first class, always available to make your stay perfect! The resort was clean, beautiful, secluded and unique!
Cons: I would suggest getting a rental car, the taxi's are expensive. Also I don't think they should be as strict with a dress code for the restaurants.
Location: The resort is secluded between the Pitons; the town of Soufriere, Sugar Beach (water activities), the Soufriere Volcano and waterfalls are close by.
From the moment we arrived, our stay was nothing less than perfect. The staff was willing to go above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could ever need for our stay to be perfect. There was always someone available to answer questions. No matter what room you stay in, as soon as you open the door it will take your breath away. As along as you turn the lights off when it starts getting dark you will have no bug problems. The only noises you will hear are the nature noises and the waterfall from the pool if you keep it on at night (I would suggest keeping it on, it washes out the frog noises at night). I thought we were going to be hot at night because of the missing wall but there is always a cool breeze that flows through your room. We didn't know there was a dress code for the restaurant on the resort for dinner (Men bring collared shirts, slacks and close toed shoes, women can wear sundresses and dress sandals) They do not turn anyone away though so don't sweat it. The resort attendants at the concierge will help you set up excursions that I would highly recommend doing. There's a free shuttle that takes you to Sugar Beach everyday and they offer a lot of water activities for you to do. The only issue we had was that the taxi fares were very expensive and we didn't get to do some excursions because of that, so we would recommend getting a rental car, it'll be worth it. Overall our honeymoon to Ladera Resort was perfect! We will be back to visit for sure!

Beautiful, unique Honeymoon spot!

My husband and I just spent the last 3 day of our Honeymoon at Ladera in a Gros Piton Suite. You will have amazing views anywhere you go in this resort, whether it is the restaurant, bar, pool or your room. In terms of decor, I would say that my room was rustic-chique. And with the exposed 4th wall, you are essentially "glamp-ing". You need to be okay with lizards and birds in your room, but that said, your bed is very well protected under a bug-netting canopy. My husband loved the plunge pool. I would suggest keeping the fountain running to avoid hearing your neighbors (a tip from another reviewer).  The staff is very friendly and they will remember you and your room number in no time at all. They truly do their best to please and make sure that your stay is all that you wanted it to be. In terms of food, we ate at Dasheene the first night. It was delicous but very expensive. The second night we had small plates at the bar for dinner and that worked out very well - delicous and much less expensive! The vegetable phyllo pastry and the saltfish accras were my favorites. In terms of amenities, I enjoyed a relaxing day lounging at the pool with my book while my husband hiked up the Gros Piton. The views are to die for. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ladera. You go there for the view, relaxation and the unique experience of open-air living. We would definitely go back for an anniversary when we can afford one of the swankier rooms (although we did love our room and view).
