This property was the perfect place to stay for a multi-generational vacation, enjoying hiking in Algonquin Park by day, and the cozy cabin by night. It is a well-laid out quaint cottage, with lots of retro things my teenage daughters found really fun. The views from the cottage is a spectacular lake view and woods.

Cozy with Beautiful Sunsets

If the weather would cooperate we would have excellent time but maybe next year the weather will be more kind to us.....

Oxtongue lakefront
Publié le 19 août 2023 sur HomeAwayUnfortunately a bit run down. Stairs to lake need repair and some property maintenence. Otherwise beautiful location. Lots of watercraft to choose from. Paddleboat doest work but canoes and kayaking was great. Fishing was great from the dock.

I have blocked the stairs to the lake. I don’t want anyone to use it to go to lake.
The paddle boat was working. Nobody said anything wrong. We should have better communication. I don’t get much message from you.

Tranquil beauty
Publié le 22 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property is lush with foliage and the bay is quiet except for sounds of frogs at night. Daytime on the dock is peaceful with a beautiful view of the lake. The experience is enhanced with swimming, kayaking, canoeing or paddleboarding. The cottage is quaint with all of the amenities needed to cook all meals comfortably. We would definitely consider returning.

Publié le 13 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayWhile there, we had freezing rain. We didn’t have any water, power or heat for more than 24 hours, so we left. If this property is rented during winter, there should be a generator for back up.

Great rustic cottage

We found it perfectly located for day tripping into Algonquin and wish we'd had a longer stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful and everything was as smooth as can be.

Thanks for your review. My cottage is on the beautiful Oxtongue Lake, very close to Algonquin Park. If you come to Algonquin park, then it’s the best place to stay.
