Nice apartment
Posted Mar. 31, 2024 on HomeAwayLarge three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment with a nice layout. The description on VRBO does not make it clear that you are only getting an apartment in a building that includes two other apartments. I thought I was booking a house. We stayed four days when the weather was not that cold, but we needed the heating, for which there is a separate charge. For four days, we spent another 100 euros.
The apartment was clean and the linens and towels were of good quality. The appliances, pots and pans were in good condition, but there were no essentials whatsoever --- no coffee or tea, no dishwasher detergent, no paper towels, no condiments, no shower soap or shampoo.
There is only one key, so a larger group would need to coordinate all activities.
And the noise from the other units the building is not what I was hoping to get for a visit to the country.

Beautiful Oasis in Chianti
Posted Jul. 12, 2023 on HomeAwayBeautiful relaxing property in the Chianti region. Our kids loved the pool and the view from the top floor overlooking the vineyards never got old. Fairly convenient driving distance to Florence (35 min) and Sienna (40 min) as well as all the smaller towns in the Chianti region (30-40 min), beautiful but small and windy roads so be aware you will do a fair amount of driving. Was a bit difficult getting in touch with Lucia prior to the journey and check-in instructions could have been clearer but once we got there everything was great. We enjoyed eating outside on the patio in the evening and the grounds were well kept and very relaxing.

Wonderful Villa in the heart of Tuscany
Posted Jun. 21, 2023 on HomeAwayWe just had a wonderful stay in Lucia & Roberta's lovely villa. Fantastic location in the heart of Chianti, close to Siena, Florence & San Gimigiano. Fully equipeed, lots of space... lovely pool... fantastic!

Phil and his family were truly wonderful guests. It was a real pleasure to welcome them into our home, it is always nice to host people as friendly, smiling and kind as they are. They were also very respectful of the house, the common areas and the other guests. We hope to welcome them back to the sunny Tuscan hills soon.

Tuscany Trip
Posted Nov. 7, 2022 on HomeAwayLucia was an excellent host. The location is very quiet with beautiful views of the surrounding area. She provided a lot of useful information about the area and helped us with dinner reservations.
Our only issue was a nightly noise (sounded like crickets) in the wooden beams in the kitchen/living area. No other issues and we would recommend this apartment to others.

The apartment was perfect for our family, clean, authentic rustic Italian decor and the pool was immaculate everyday and fabulous. Lucia and Roberto were attentive to all our needs and treated us like family. We look forward to returning one day ( sooner rather than later❤️).

Best place to stay in Tuscany
Posted Jun. 21, 2018 on HomeAwayOur first visit to Italy and choosing Lucia and Roberto’s home to stay in could not have been a better choice! The views are spectacular! Their home is an authentic Italian villa which was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. They have a beautiful well kept pool. The location is centrally located between Florence and Siena and great for day trips to many locations. The best of all is Lucia and Roberto! They are warm, loving people and were so helpful with suggestions for places to visit and dine. They take pride in their home and want others to enjoy.

Beautiful home, hosts and view!
Posted Oct. 29, 2017 on HomeAwayThe home is absolutely wonderful with some beautiful views of neighboring vineyards. The home is absolutely comfortable and spacious. Our hosts Lorenzo and Lucia and Roberto were wonderful as well. They took us to a wonderful restaurant so that we could have dinner. Awesome restaurant! We were truly looking forward to 3 days of enjoying the home when we had a car accident. Our hosts were wonderful and even took half of oir group to the hospital in siena. I would stay here many More times! Cannot express my gratitude enough for Lucia, Roberto and Lorenzo's hospitality during our stay. Grazie mille!!!

Beautiful Accommodation
Posted Aug. 28, 2017 on HomeAwayFirst the bad bits: when we booked the accommodation almost 10 months previously we had no knowledge of this being an upstairs apartment, it was not until we noticed this in a review a few weeks before our departure that we found this out. We feel it should be stipulated on the HomeAway website that the 3-bedroomed apartment is up 17 steep stone steps, this is the only criticism we have of this accommodation, this might seem a small thing but due to medical reasons last year I would not have been able to climb these stairs (maybe a microwave would also be helpful Lucia).
The owners Lucia & Roberto are everything other reviewers have already said if not more so, they are accommodating, pleasant and simply cannot do enough for their guests, they are truly people who although owning the property and running a business seem to enjoy doing so. Roberto is around every morning before guests are awake watering the gardens and cleaning the swimming pool, which we’d add is one of the cleanest pools we’ve seen.
Lucia comes to the property several times each week to check everyone is happy and content.
The accommodation itself is spotlessly clean, all pots, pans, cutlery and crockery is clean and without chips or damage, bed linen and towels are changed every Saturday without fail, great when you’re staying for 4 weeks we did.
We really cannot fault the property and it’s easy to see how much care to detail is taken by Lucia & Roberto to ensure you have a pleasant stay, thank you to both of you.
We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone

Amazing Views
Posted Jun. 19, 2017 on HomeAwayWe arrived at I Glicini after 2 weeks spent in some very busy tourist areas - it was a welcome relieve. We stayed in the 3 bedroom/3 bathroom apartment that was upstairs in what was once a barn. The apartment was very clean and had an amazing view from the dining area window. The pool was exceptional with umbrellas for shade, and lots of lounge chairs with cushions. We saw Roberto out cleaning the pool early each morning. Roberto and Lucia were wonderful hosts, very responsive with any of our questions or minor issues. They made us feel very welcome. Also their son Lorenzo met us on our arrival day, which was a Sunday and he was very helpful. They gifted us with a bottle of wine from a local family run small winery called Poggio al Bosco, that was excellent. We booked a wine tasting there with Elena and it was one of our favorite places. We would highly recommend I Glicini if you are looking for a place to relax in the Tuscan countryside. You do need a car if you are planning to stay here.
