Nice place but the noise!

We read the reviews and knew there would be stairs - which was fine for us. But be aware, there are two sets of relatively steep and long stairs; so if you have concerns about navigating that (esp with a suitcase) you may want to look elsewhere. The apartment is above a restaurant but we were ok with that. Very clean and spacious; walkable distance to all of downtown activity. Nice view of water. It is kind of decorated in a way that it feels a bit cold, dated and more hotel-ish. Not what I am looking for in a VRBO. However, overall it was a very nice property and we enjoyed our visit to Bayfield! Being above the restaurant was not a big deal to us - there was a little noise and no smell or anything UNTIL THEY CLOSED. Then whomever was cleaning up after would CRANK the music so loud, we could easily make out the words & sing along with it. Then you would hear them talking loudly over the music. It was horrible. Since our stay was short, we just let it go and did not complain but I would think that the owners may want to let the staff below know when someone is staying on the property so that they can perhaps be more aware of how loud they play the music after hours and out of courtesy to the people paying to stay at the apartment, keep it down.

Bayfield get away

Stayed with my sisters. Great location for everything. Never had to move my vehicle once we arrived. Very clean and spacious. The steps were a little hard for my older sisters but worth it.

The location and unit were amazing! Being able to walk to allnthe shop was great. The only issue was the parking foe the unit. It was very confusing how they expected you to park other than that the stay was great the listing matched the unit perfectly!

Spacious top floor Bayfield retreat

Lovely spacious place with views each direction. Very comfortable for us and our daughter. The restaurant downstairs was also accommodating.

Stayed there for two days. Great location in the town, very clean as described. Comfortable in general. I didn't mind the many stairs but I did mind being attached to a restaurant: you park next to the trash bins, there was a greasy smoker/grill right at the entrance by the stairwell, and lastly you could smell a faint fishy and greasy odor at night. It wasn't terrible, but noticeable. I think the restaurant could take more care to improve: Move the smoker/grill, close the window to the dish room etc. I would add the restaurant was not noisy and closed early enough.

We had a wonderful stay at the Copper Trout suite. It was so clean, super spacious and in a great location. Perfect weekend weather allowed us to enjoy the deck to soak up some sun after our adventures. Highly recommend this place! Bayfield is such a quaint town.

This is a great property. Well represented in listing. Central location-short walk to all areas of community. Off the road parking. Food is so good in the restaurant we ate there two of our three nights. Michael a 5⭐️ Host!

DISHONEST & HEARTLESS! This man took us for $889 after a child was seriously injured! PLEASE READ

Rented the unit 2-Mth in adv. for Fri. & Sat. of Labor Day Wknd. We purchs'd a sailing Trip w/another cpl from our schools fundrs'r. Mon. PM. our friends 14yr old son was badly injured in a football game. He fractured his humeral head in multiple spots & required Emergency Surgery! I notified Michael on Tues. that we sadly had to reschedule as it wasn't poss. for us to come this wknd. (We are 4+Hrs S. of Bayfield). I expln'd what happened & that we were NOT looking for refund but only a reschedule. Michael answered quickly and asked us when we would like to reschedule for? I expln'd to him that the boat owners were not avail. in Sept. & pull'g the boat out soon. Due to the seasonality of this area, we would need to wait for next Sprg/Sumr. WORTH NOTE: the list'g didn't have ANY dates avail. in the VRBO syst. in 2023 so there was no way to enter a reschedule date in the syst. Keep in mind he quickly asked for a reschedule date & the syst. still had the button avail. for "reschedule". We knew we couldn't cancel. But were w-in policy to reschedule & him asking for a date, confirmed this! Micheal responded the nxt day (Weds) that we needed to enter a new date by noon that day. Again, let him know the dates we could reschedule for (Sprg/Sum. 2023) aren't avail. in the syst. This is a seasonal sail'g area in WI. Boats have to be pulled/winterized, owners live in our hometown so they don't get up often and visits are well plan'd out due to distance. Nvr heard from him again & on Thurs. AM. Got the gen. email welcoming us to the prop. w/entry instrctn's for checkin! He knew EXACTLY what he was doing by riding out his communication w/me till the 24-hr Chk in so he had us locked in & liable. When I reached out to him to ask if he was delibrtly ignor'g me, he then responds he could no longer re-rent the property!🤦‍♀️ I again said "we notified you on TUESDAY that we were NOT coming and you asked us for a reschedule date". He KNEW we weren't coming & had be relisted the property when he was notified (Tues), It would have rented! There are FEW rentals in Bayfield & this unit is centrally located & a freq't rental. I search'd on Thurs. & there were NO properties avail for the wknd! Lastly, our friends went there Fri. Nite and asked his son for a rental, he called Michael & told them "we had a cancel but he already re-rented it for tomorrow (Sat)". 😳 What type of man does this to people after an emergency that involves a child? Awful
