Highlights, Beautiful hotel..superb checkin progress, with traditional Indian welcome. - world class. A few staff member were amazing. Lowlights, Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. Staff were professional but no personably. Many staff members seemed to have a no care attitude. They don’t bother greeting guests. Just busy chit chatting with each other. During our 5 night stay I tried calling but body answers. It usually takes several tries before they pick up, On the day of checkout I tried calling front desk, operator, guest services, even the duty manager but nobody picked up, I tried for more than 10 mins, my airport transport was waiting so we had to drag all our luggage ourselves. Not sure why the customer service is so inconsistent and poor at this hotel. We frequently stay at 5 star hotels and am impressed with luxury hotels in India but very disappointed with Leela Palace.

I have been a regular guest, but this time, the check in staff tried to oversell or not truthful about the upgrade (which I attempted based on email I got from Leela). it supposed to be Club room on 5th floor but sold one on 6th floor which is smaller room and noisy one compared to my original booking. it took an effort on my part to get it corrected.

Stay was good. Please recheck your room Category at the time of checkin into the room. They can also provide a downgraded room category while you py for higher category room. Thanks to the Butler Satya to solve this issue.
