Good spot in heart if Cambridge

Great location for Punting tours on the river & visiting the oldest university colleges and the museum. Bar was closed at 5pm so two glasses of very average Chardonnay cost £30 from the restaurant !!! Great front desk staff.

hotel tres confortable et bien situé. Par contre le lit est un peu mou. Le restaurant de l'hotel (Bistro) propose des plats français, mais le cuisinier ne doit pas être français car servir des crepes pas cuites, ce n'est pas digne d'un bon cuisinier.

Lovely place; one serious lapse in service

An older hotel with clean, modern, well-appointed rooms. The bed was comfortable and the room very quiet. The bathroom had an extra-deep tub (be careful getting in and out if you are short and middle-aged, like me!) and a "monsoon" shower. Breakfast (included) was of a very high standard, with attentive and personal service. I rated the hotel service poorly because on the last day of my stay, I came back after dinner to find my room door ajar, left that way by the cleaning staff. (Oddly, they had not done the room between 9:30 and 3:30, when I was out, but waited until I went out again for dinner at 6.) Thankfully nothing was missing. I reported it right away to the duty manager, and I hope steps were taken to ensure that such lapses do not occur in future. One tiny thing about the room furnishings: the bedside lamps were too dim to read by.

Nice hotel, indifferent staff

Convenient location, clean and rooms a bit dark. I have stayed here before and would again. Sadly when I left today and went to check out I said good morning and was ignored by two staff members more interested in their PC than me and my desire to check out. A sour end to my stay. I guess some people aren't equipped to work in the service industry.

Hotel feels in need of some TLC. My room has damp in the corner. I booked 2 rooms for a business stay. Called ahead to ensure one was a twin rather than a double which was confirmed weeks in advances. On arrival it was a double and we had to wait over 30 mins for this to be rectified. No apology or offer of a complementary drink whilst we waited.
