Condescending and sexist customer service manager ruined weekend. Minor issue escalated due to bad management. Breakfast staff and evening restaurant staff great as always. Hotel is looking tired. Cob webs in main windows. Focus now seems to be on corporate and spa which means degraded service for others. Very sad to see standards slipping.

Not worth the price.

Hotel was ok. Room has visible ware and tear, from botched wardrobe repairs to what im guessing is oil marks over the bathroom door. Bathroom leaked when using the shower and front desk acted like we inconvenienced them by saying about the shower on check out. Massive gap between bed and headboard with was for a double not a king size as pillows would go down the gap. Very noisy on a Saturday night. You can hear door bang very loudly from 8pm-2/3am and could hear noise from the lobby. Room is decent size but needs a revamp. Very minimal information in the room. If you stay for more than one night, the large water glasses get taken away and replaced with tiny glasses. Bathrobes were ok if your were a Small in clothe sizes.

Disappointed with a service charge for drinks when collected them myself. Can understand if food was ordered with table service..

Great location for a weekend in Cardiff

Long family weekend away in Cardiff. Hotel is in a great location - we loved the bay area - lots of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops nearby not to mention some amazing buildings (Millennium centre, the Welsh senate, Pierhead and the little Norwegian Church). The staff were extremely helpful and we even got a free drink in the bar on our first night. Breakfast was plentiful with a lovely view over the bay. We ate dinner in the restaurant on our final night and the food was excellent. Didn't use the spa but the pool was great (along with sauna and massive jacuzzi) and the gym was well equipped. Our only gripe is that our room was like a sauna - the air conditioning seemed to be broken, which we mentioned on our first evening and were given a cooling fan/machine. The thermostat never registered below 23 degrees though no matter what we did and with no other means of ventilation (no windows to open) we were cooking. Other floors had balconies which would have provided some fresh air at least. Would definitely return though - lovely hotel and great location.

We were greeted by the most friendly staff. The room was enormous and so well decorated. It felt high value. We had a room over looking the bay so the view was beautiful. Staff were very helpful when we needed a taxi booked. Room service was speedy and the food was incredible and well priced for what we got. 3am pizza was an unexpected highlight on the trip. The bathroom was really nice. Everything felt clean. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room was nice and the mini fridge keeping milk and water and cool was a nice addition. Check-in and out were both speedy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. Will definitely be back.
