The staff were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. They were able to assist with all of our requirements and went above and beyond to do so. Our stay was incredible as we were given a complimentary room upgrade on top of it all. A special thank you to Amanda for all her kindness and making us feel comfortable. Beau was very helpful and kind.

Fab & Groovy hotel

Superb location in the middle of a beautiful park. Very hungry and friendly ducks nearby (food for sale at reception!) Bedroom was interesting and comfortable with park views out of both windows. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was limited but very tasty and excellent quality. Chef really seemed to care even about breakfast which bodes well for other meals there. Very recommended.

The room was clean and really comfy. The decor was quirky with a fantastic bathroom. The staff during the day were great, at evening on our return not so much, but it was midnight on a Saturday night. The breakfast was lovely with an option for all. My only downside was the lack of parking at the property. Not a great deal of spaces. Overall a great little find

Hi Chris Thank you for taking the time to write a review and the lovely feedback. In regards to parking, the parking is limited directly outside the hotel so as not to impact the beautiful setting of park. More parking can be found less that a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

No where near worth the money. Not luxury.

Cons: Hardly any parking. 5 min walk to pay and display parking. Dirty rooms. Mould in shower, all in the tray, grout, screen. Mould on ceiling. Hair in the bath. Bloodline stains on the blinds. Dusty heated towel rail. No robes. Only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel each. Noisy heating/air con. Lumpy pillows. Mattress too firm. No instructions to use the phone or coffee machine. Breakfast closes earlier than advertised so missed out. Can hear flushes of other peoples to I’ll eye through the night in the Kendal suite. Right under the flight path so planes from 6am. Pros: Jake in the restaurant was polite and professional.

Dear Andrea Thank you for your review.. Firstly, thank you for your feedback for Jake – he is a very much valued team member, and we are happy to hear this shines through to our guests. To address the issues raised: Parking – As we are fortunate enough to be situated within the grounds of a wonderful Park, we have limited number of parking spaces directly outside the hotel itself - this parking is limited so as not to impact the beautiful setting of the Hotel. As explained in your pre arrival email, more parking ( two large council carparks) can be found less that a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Room cleanliness - We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay with us due to the cleanliness issues in your room. This does not reflect our usual standards, and we take your feedback seriously. After bringing these issues to our attention during checkout, our housekeeping team were informed, and immediate steps were taken to rectify the situation, it is unfortunate that we were not given the opportunity to rectify these issues when you checked in so as not to impact your stay.Regarding bath robes, extra pillows, and towels, these are available upon request. After you feedback, this has now been made clearer for future guests. Thank you. Breakfast - We must mention that in fact breakfast did not close earlier than usual, and that although you came down 15 minutes after breakfast had officially closed, you were offered most items on the breakfast list. It is a shame you didn’t take our chef up on his offer for the selection of cooked options he was still able to make for you after this time. It has also transpired that the platform that you booked your reservation on had the wrong dining times advertised. We have asked them to update this with the correct information as a priority. Flights paths are unfortunately beyond our remit, and it is extremely rare that we do receive any complaints regarding this - but for these rare occasions we do offer ear plugs for light sleepers as mentioned in the room directories. And lastly, mattress firmness is a preference that varies from person to person. We are unable to hold stock of different mattresses to change as per each guest’s preference. Our mattresses have been chosen and supplied at a firmness recommended for hotels. We hope that the remuneration you were swiftly given as soon as you raised your issues has compensated in some way for the disappointment caused. Once again, thank you for your feedback as it has enabled us to tweak our processes for future patrons.Kind regards.

The image on expedia showed a bath tub in the room hence why i booked a more expensive room, but when i arrived this was not the room shown in the image.

Hi Sophia, We have 3 Playground Suites - one has a bath and the other two have the 4-poster beds. I have checked on Expedia and the pictures of the room type do show examples of both layouts, but I am sorry that you thought it was not clear when you made your booking. I hope you enjoyed your stay with us despite not having the bath this time.
