DO NOT STAY HERE. You will get the Old Plantation Vibe. The matching floral prints ont the lap shades, bedspreads... will make you nauseous. This is the most DATED, old ran down property I have ever experienced. YOU CANNOT TAKE A SHOWER THE WATER PRESSURE IS SO LOW. You literally have to stand close to the wall and try and catch the drips of water coming from the shower. When you go to make complaints the front desk is apparently trained to say they are hearing these things for the first time. After I was told they have no idea about the shower, another guest came to the front desk and stated "You'll were supposed to move me since yesterday I have no water pressure in my shower". It smells like mold, the food is horrible. It was so bad we left prior to our departure date. We asked for some of our money back and they refused. Do yourself a favor do not visit this run down property. If you have any standards this is not the place to be. Let me make mention that although the workers appear to be working on a PLANTATION, the staff were mostly pleasant even working in such a horrible environment. Do yourself a favor do not go here. They need to take some money and update this hotel because it is ridiculous in 2024 they are still living in the early 1900's. Plantations are OVER.

Property was great but Mr. Mohammed the General manager was very rude and made us feel very unpleasant. Would only go back if he ever gets fired from there.

I have been staying at Coco Reef for over a decade now. I have always loved the place, and have a good relationship with the staff. However the place is simply getting old and, more importantly, tired. They really need to do a refurbishment of the rooms and facilities. One only gets a single key for each room, which is quite inconvenient when there are two people staying in the room. The Television is positively ancient, the WiFi anywhere but in the lobby is unreliable and weak (They say that they only guarantee WiFi in the lobby! Really? In 2024?) and the restaurants have the same menu they did in 2008. The staff is always friendly and I enjoy the breakfast buffet every morning (included ont he room price), but otherwise almost never eat at the main restaurant, preferring to venture out onto the street and search for something to eat (lots of choices out there, and while it may seem a bit rough, it is actually quite safe and accommodating). The price of food at the main restaurant is quite high for the quality - I have never been on the all inclusive plan since the thought of being captive to the very limited choice does not appeal to me at all. There are much better restaurants all around, lower prices, better food, and, importantly, some variety. So, overall, I have a soft spot for Coco Reef, but unless they get a solid refresh in the next little while I will certainly start to look for other options. Having said that, if you need somewhere reliable and safe, stay here

Dear Robert,On an opening note, thank you ever so kindly for having taken the time & the trouble of sharing your experience with us having recently stayed at "Coco Reef Resort & Spa" here in Tobago.We are elated that you continue to choose our unique Resort when visiting the island and are profoundly sorry for the inconveniences you encountered.Consequently, as a matter of update, we have, over the past few months, initiated "refurbishments and upgrades" throughout the Resort. Much of the central facilities were repainted and refurbished, including the Lobby, Jetty, Volleyball Court and our off-site Tennis Court; a dedicated "Kids Club" was installed, new beach lounges and motorized water sports equipment were implemented and so much more.Meanwhile, we have also enhanced our Breakfast Menu, put in place a new Lunch Menu and are gradually changing our Dinner Menu with as objective to restore this "Grand Dame" that is "Coco Reef" to her full glory.You may rest assured that we are committed to our primary goal of ensuring that our most discerning guests achieve optimal satisfaction at every stay.It is quite unfortunate that we were unable to meet your expectations on your recent vacation and do look forward to the opportunity of improving upon that experience when you visit with us again.Looking forward to the pleasure and privilege of welcoming you amidst us soonest.Remaining always at your service!Best regards,ManagementWe value feedback from our esteemed guests as it only serves to enable us to enhance the services rendered.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This property is very expensive and is in terrible shape. I have never stayed in such a rundown hotel. The internet doesn’t work, the place is covered in mold and smells of urine and really needs to be demolished. The only good thing is the beach. This is a 1 star hotel at best charging insanely high prices. I can’t emphasize enough how disgusting this hotel is. We couldn’t wait to leave.

Dear Shelly,In a first instance, I would like to take this opportunity to express to you my gratitude for having chosen to stay at "Coco Reef Resort & Spa" here in Tobago, from January 1 - January 4, 2024.It is, however, most unfortunate that you found your experience with us to be entirely unsatisfactory, for which I am extremely sorry, particularly as it is our goal to achieve optimal guest satisfaction, every time.Consequently, as a matter of update, an in-depth investigation was promptly instituted into the possibility of mold and the smell you described emanating from the Room. Regrettably, there was no log of a complaint found nor was there any visible signs of mold.Having said this, it would only be opportune for me to mention that "Coco Reef Resort & Spa" is, undeniably, a "Grand Dame" which is gradually being rejuvenated to her full glory.
