Firstly, the listing for the property states that valet parking is optional but once you get to the property, they let you know that it doesn’t matter if you park it or they park it, you get charged 35 a night and 10 a day. So it’s not valet, it’s paid to park and it’s not optional, it’s mandatory. The valet also creates a huge issue in the evenings and creates a traffic jam on the street. We had to wait about 30 min to enter the parking lot because there were about 10 cars confused about the mandatory valet/self parking situation too. They need to get away with this at this location, it was the first time I’ve had to pay to park at a tru. I also think I heard the valet dude call me a b word for letting him know that I stay in this area often and two of the hotels across the street don’t charge for parking. He was comparing the parking situation to the Anatole that also charges 300 a night. lol. It’s also very loud. I noticed they read reviews and try to help with the noise by adding ear plugs in the room but they don’t care to fix the ridiculous, dishonest parking situation. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all. We checked out a day early and was told we would still be charged for the daily parking even though we weren’t there the entire day. Wild.

Dear Destiny, In the Dallas area, parking is at a premium. We are glad to offer our guests one option without worrying about city limitations or towing, but no one is forced to use our valet service. We appreciate your feedback and will consider it as we continually monitor our guest offerings. Sincerely, Jamie Walker, GM

Thought the room was clean and adequate for me. I had to walk more than I felt safe with for my event at Marker Center. Loved the rooftop lounge and view. The weather was a little chilly this time.

Overall good with some down points to consider

Posted Feb. 17, 2024 on Hotels
Overall this is a nice place to stay. It's very basic so don't expect frills but as long as thats okay with you then it's fine. The staff was very very friendly and helpful. I wish i could remember the name of man who checked us in because he was top notch and deserves a nod (It was Jaquin or something close to that). My only real complaint was the noise from the freeway. It was intense and made it hard to sleep. They do provide earplugs so I guess thats something but it's still pretty awful. The $35 mandatory valet parking is not okay either IMO. Protip...there is $12 a night parking less than a mile down the road if you dont mind a nice walk(sidewalks and crosswalks so it's easy). Using that lot will save you a TON of money. The rooftop bar and sitting area as well as the very nice lounge area in the lobby that has pool table and 24hr free coffe, tea and hot cocoa, is awesome. Overall, i can recommend this if you're not a light sleeper and if you dont mind the valer charge or a brief walk for cheaper parking.

Nice stay

Nice stay. Staff were great and loved the rooftop bar. Only complaint was the valet parking; I would rather park my own vehicle especially since the parking lot is so small. Also wish the breakfast was offered an additional hour.

NASTY AND LOUD

Posted Feb. 16, 2024 on Hotels
Dirty floors in the rooms ! I was barefoot for a few minutes and my feet were dirty The road noise by the freeway is unbearable especially if you are on that side the airplanes and train keep you up all night Surprise vallet charge 35 a night and it’s mandatory.

Unusually not a perfect start

Always stay here and while usually it’s an easy check in experience this time the lady checked me into the wrong room under the wrong name and charged me the full amount even though I mentioned that I paid through hotels.com. The lady that relieved her found the error thankfully.
