Disappointed in Dayton

Hotel is under new ownership. Renovating 1 rm at a time as I was told. We stayed 2 nights in a 2 bedroom loft. First night there was no cable connection nor internet connection for TV upstairs. There was no remote for bedroom TV downstairs. Couldn’t watch TV at all. Second night the front desk had dropped off remote and set up an internet connection for the TV’s. Drapes were torn. Couch had rips in the cushions. There were stains all on the floor. The tack strip for the carpet was sticking up on the steps. Visible. Had we stepped on it, we would have gotten hurt and needed a tetnus shot for sure. Upstairs toilet sounded like a jackhammer as it filled after a flush. Bed upstairs needed new box springs. Every time someone rolled over it sounded like the bed was gonna come thru the ceiling and land on the bed downstairs. The continental breakfast was mostly a cold breakfast. i.e, yogurt, cereal etc. Complimentary coffee didn’t offer any creamer. I complained and received no $$ discount or anything. The explanation I was given was they were under new management and they just acquired the property less than 1 month prior. It was nothing like the website showed. Worst experience at a hotel. If you thought about staying here, I would see what renovations were done before hand.

It was VERY apparent the bedding had not been changed. Pulled pack the covers and there was what appeared to be a blood stain and pubic hairs all over the sheet. It was late when we discovered this. Had to get up very early to catch a flight otherwise I would have demanded my money back. Slept on top of covers, covered the pillows with our dirty clothes and covered up with our coats! Still haven't received the $100 room deposit! Can't get anyone to answer the phone to find out the status! Bottom line, this place was disgusting! I will go to the top if I need to to get my deposit back! As nasty as this place was, I should get a full refund!!

I didn’t like that woman staff was very rude and disrespectful..the floor had a hole in it.Someone had a dog barking all night

This property is worn out, and poorly maintained. More lights were burned out than working. Heating system was loud. Part of lock for the door was broken and sitting next to the door, so all could see it. I would NOT recommend this place for security reasons. Plenty of other motels close. Cheap, but still not worth the price.

Staff friendly and kitchen adequate; otherwise disappointing. No free breakfast or workout room because of construction, an unwelcome surprise. Housekeeper asleep on job: coffee maker broken, shower drain sluggish, room needed vacuuming, extra blanket had what looked like dog food stuck to it, dried liquid of some sort in bureau drawer, empty juice box next to nightstand and Coke bottle in bathroom waste basket. Room generally was down-at-heel: frayed carpet, cracked door frame and tile, one closet door wouldn't close and the other came off its track, the winter wind fairly roared through the unweatherstripped balcony door.
