Decent place to stay when you are on a cruise
Publié le 20 févr. 2024 sur HotelsThis was a decent place to stay when we were on a cruise. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was also quiet. The young man at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
However, the building seemed a bit worn. We were in a building behind the building on the picture on Hotels.com. It was decent but there seemed to be on center to it and it smelled musty, which I'm sure is due to the high humidity. Also, the breakfast was really marginal. Mostly, cold cereal and some hard-boiled eggs. The one I had had actually gone bad. They also had whole fruit, which I appreciated.
Our room was clean and it looks like it was recently painted. However, the pictures were all missing off the walls but the hooks were still there. And several tiles in the bathroom were cracked. And it was not walkable to anything. If you drive, that shouldn't be a problem.
It worked for us since we were getting on a cruise ship, so I don't want to discourage you at all from staying there. But we were there in the off season and it seemed a bit forlorn.

Thank you for the feedback, Kathleen. I am sorry for the issues that you did experience, and we will address them quickly. As for breakfast, we do only have a continental breakfast that includes yogurt, cereal, muffins, Danishes, bagels, boiled (pickled) eggs, fruit salad, and fresh fruit. Juice and coffee, as well. However, we do not have facilities to cook or clean if we had hot items. I wish it were different but for the time being that is all we can offer.

Nice room, but the pòol and mini golf are unheated and outdoors. The water park was not operational and it was cold outside.

Thank you for the great feedback, Michael! I hope you will come back soon to enjoy the pool and the mini golf! There is only about 2 to 3 months out of the year when it is not warm enough to really swim, but once we start seeing the warm weather, it will heat right up! I believe the waterpark is going to be opening up again for weekends on April 10th, so maybe you can plan another trip before the "rush" of summer hits us!

Great place to stay

Thank you for the wonderful feedback, Donald. Our location during the summer is typically considered great when the Waterpark is open; but we are only 8 tenths of a mile from the beach and six miles to the strand for other activities! We are working on having the vending machines removed from the property since they are owned/managed by someone else as this is an ongoing issue. Just note for the future that you can purchase drinks and snacks in our lobby now! Hope to see you again soon!
