Booked a 2 bed room (paid extra). Upon arrival were given a 1 bed room and told it could not be changed. Bathroom floors were sticky and had shoe prints everywhere. Bathroom light was burnt-out and the door was not on its track, so could barely move it. Window was unlocked on a ground floor room. In the morning, we were told by the supervisor (after having to prove that a 2 bed room was booked) that we could not receive a refund because they had somebody elses card saved under our reservation. In addition the lock on a side door was removed so anyone could enter a "keyed only" entrance and the security camera in the hallway was also removed.

Good room/Bad food

I've stayed here for the Michan Brewer's Guild Winter Beer Festival every year for the last 10 years. The rooms have always been clean and affordable. The free breakfast has always been decent, until this time. Lukewarm powdered eggs, not fully boiled/cooked potatoes and disgusting barely cooked finger sausages. Even the "hot" coffee was lukewarm at best. The only edible items in my opinion were the factory sealed yogurt and Spunkmeyer mini muffins. I like the motel's location close to the event, but next year I may have to consider another location.

My stay was from Friday Jan 26th through Sunday January 28th. Checked out on Sunday, leaving the key in the room and removing all of my items by 11AM. The front desk came to my room and accused me of smoking while I was staying! The screens are ripped and torn on most rooms, which is a safety concern. Still has not charged me and my check out was Sunday January 28th at 11AM, which I promptly adhered to. I hope you don't try to charge me for any longer of a stay. After the service and quality I experienced, I will never return.
