Lovely stay in Chianti

Superficial Beauty in the Heart of Tuscany
Posted Jun. 17, 2023 on HomeAwayWe were told this was an offsite villa via VRBO but it was not the case as this is part of the La Veronica Resort in Greve. The rooms were directly visible from the morning eating sites. If you require privacy, this isn’t the place for you. The beds feel like sleeping on a steel slab and the furniture hasn’t been updated in 30+ years. The basement being a cellar had a great appeal originally, however, the cloth furniture doesn’t stand a chance against how damp the area gets. The kitchen was nice to work in and well equipped, however, I found it weird there was no oil to cook with but 3 different types of pepper. Also, upon check out we found mold everywhere while trying to clean up the dishes (this is what dropped it to a two star rating as we were so grossed out after prepping/cooking in there every day). The pool was also promised to be private, however, you share it with the resort (though not a big deal as not many where using the amenity and it was quite well maintained). We also were told not to park in our private lot as “that’s where the tour busses turn around”, which they did every morning at 7am unloading hordes of noise and people.
Service through the VRBO was practically non-existent. No welcome except for the handyman asking for a picture of our passport and city tax collection to validate our stay.
The views from this place are magnificent which was its redeeming quality. For the price, we will next time be staying within the city or a nicer r

Good morning I am very surprised by the negative review and by the completely inaccurate information about our house that we do not know from whom you received. I confirm that the house is a private house and has nothing to do with the Veronica resort absolutely no contact if not a closeness and good neighborly relations. Also the swimming pool it was built by both the Resort and me and we share its use. Therefore this information also does not correspond to reality, we have absolutely the right to use the swimming pool and it is for the exclusive use of both the small Resort and ours guest.
I also add that no one has ever complained about the hardness of the bed and above all the kindness of the person who checks in who has always been considered a very kind person and available for any eventuality.. do have not been given the answer or the service you requested? Otherwise it is obvious that it is difficult to judge
He did what he has to, the request for documents and the tourist tax are obligations that we must do to respect the rules of our country. And showing you the apartment
As for the end, the mold problem has normally never happened and nobody has complained. But given that we had a month of very intense rain ( the worst month in Italy in the last 100 year!!!) it could also be that we did not realize that there was a deterioration in this respect. I will do anyway immediately a check with the people who take care of the cleaning .

Magnificent
Posted May 28, 2023 on HomeAwayThis was my second stay at La Veronica Resort and the first at the cottage. If you are in Tuscany this is the place to be. Close enough to Florence but far enough away to be in the countryside and truly experience Italy and Tuscany. The staff could not be more kind and helpful. This cottage is rustic Italian. If you want all the bells and whistles and no charm stay somewhere else. This made us feel like we were in heaven every day and we loved every minute of our stay. The bedrooms are spacious .. on suites for each are nice… the kitchen is tiny but who cooks in Tuscany? There are hundreds of restaurants in the small towns nearby! The views … they don’t get any better. We will be back ! Feels like home away from home in Tuscany! I just can’t say enough nice things about this place!!

Away from it all In beautiful Toscana (Greve in Chianti)
Posted May 26, 2023 on HomeAwayDaniela was very responsive with our questions and requests - as was Eduardo. I really enjoyed the rustic villa and the solitude. The location was only about an hour away from Firenze (Santa Maria Novella train station).
We rented a car at the nearby Hertz, and took a few excursions: San Gimignano - about an hour away, and Dario Cecchini’s restaurant in Panzano (about 30 minutes away).
I would recommend this place - it was well worth the cost.

Posted May 24, 2022 on HomeAwayAmazing property and location. Much further out than we had anticipated, but truly beautiful. If you don't have a car, be prepared. The taxi to and from Florence was $90 each way. LOCK THE DOORS & take food to snack on or cook. We were able to attain Breakfast from the adjoining Inn for a small cost, but I don't think that is always offered and certainly not included. We had planned on using the pool, it was not open yet for the season.

Good morning I’m sorry that you had this inconvenient but II wanted to make some clarifications with respect to your comment for the stay
First of all to say that it had never happened to me that someone arrived without a car because is a place in the countryside 3 km from the closest town, greve.
As for the pool, it has always been open on June 1st and finally for breakfast breakfast We have the house with everything you need to sleep to wash and to cook . but we never talked about breakfast included because it is not a service. that we offerI.
I'm sorry that you had these inconvenient but if you had asked us or if you had read carefully the information on the site you could have realized that this was the situation.

Vacances d'été en Toscane
Posted Aug. 7, 2023 on HomeAwayPendant que la météo s'affolait au sud et au nord de l'Europe nous avons bénéficié du climat très agréable de la Toscane et ainsi nous avons profité de notre location : Une vue à couper le souffle, une maison confortable, la piscine partagée avec le Veronica Resort mais calme et superbe, avec aussi une vue extraordinaire. Tout cela se mérite et vous en profiterez qu'après avoir passé le chemin chaotique de 2 kilomètres dans la campagne Toscane.
Merci en particulier à Edouardo toujours souriant et disponible si vous avez besoin de quoique ce soit.

Unser erster Toskana Trip
Posted Sep. 27, 2022 on HomeAwayLeider wich die Realität vor Ort von den Fotos im Inserat teilweise stark ab. Lage und Aussicht sind toll . Das Haus selber wirkt innen etwas renovierungsbedürftig aus. Schlecht war auch der Check in . Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist katastrophal . Würden hier nicht wieder buchen.

Il check in è’ andato benissimo, Edoardo era davanti a casa che vi aspettava per mostrarvi la casa.
Cosa non le è’ piaciuto?
La strada per arrivare era in condizioni non buone perché il giorno prima c’è’ stata una terribile e violenta perturbazione che ha colpito gran parte dell’Italia con una pioggia che trattandosi di strade di campagna ha creato problemi significativi. Nei giorni immediatamente successivi abbiamo provveduto a riportarla in condizioni molto migliori.
La casa come ogni anno al termine della stagione estiva dove viene abitata con continuità ha bisogno come da lei segnalato di piccole manutenzioni che verranno effettuate appena terminato l’afflusso di ospiti. Si tratta comunque di piccole cose che non credo le abbiano impedito di godere di un posto così bello e ben posizionato come da lei segnalato.
Mi spiace che non tornerà nella nostra casa ma siamo sereni perché tutti gli clienti che abbiamo ospitato sono stati contenti e hanno apprezzato la casa, la posizione e i nostri servizi

A bigger package

What made it the perfect place for us to stay was the fact that it is located on top of a small hill, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It has a breathtaking view from its terrace, where you can enjoy a glass of Chianti and enjoy the sunset over the Tuscan landscape. What a great place to stay!
