Excellent in all respects, especially when price taken into account..£38 for double, including a very good, extensive continental breakfast was a 'steal'....and there was a pool and lift...this combined with a wonderful 'laid back' , friendly approach by the staff/owners who were always there when needed made for a very enjoyable, relaxed holiday experience.

Beautiful place but hard to drive in the city and parking is awful. To far from the city. Beautiful mountain view

An excellent base to explore the Sierra Nevada. In all season.

Old-world charm and good value for money

Posted Jul. 26, 2019 on Hotels
A delightful old hotel that has charming architecture and decorations. The room was cool and comfortable. They have a salt-water pool which is great since there's no chlorine smell, no bleaching of swimsuits, and no eye irritation. However, the pool is fairly small and not really good for swimming laps. They have on-premises parking, with a few shady spots if you're lucky. Breakfast is fairly typical buffet with lots of pastries, fruit juice, toast, ham, cheese, cereal, yogurt, and fresh fruit. They offer a fixed-price dinner for €10 that includes a choice of several courses. It was excellent value for money. The outdoor dining area is covered by vines, making it cool and inviting. Be warned that they do not speak English, and the front desk has limited opening hours. If you need to leave before 7am, be sure to take all your stuff with you as the front door of the hotel with lock behind you and there's no way to get back in!

Lovely rural hotel

Posted Sep. 14, 2018 on Hotels
Amazing value for money with plentiful breakfast included, really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms basic but very clean and comfortable. We booked three rooms for only one night prior to a visit to La Alhambra. However this is our third visit, previously just because we like the location and very pleasant for a weekend stay.

Very nice hotel with a picturesque terrace. Friendly service, good food in a simple style, typical to Spain.

Lovely hotel

Posted Feb. 18, 2018 on Expedia
Cons: The wifi could be a bit unreliable. This may have been because there weren't many guests during my stay, since it was the off-season for tourism.
Location: I loved the village of Güéjar Siera. Despite being close to Granada, when you're there you feel very removed from the world. Excellent hiking.
I came here for a few days as a solo traveler during the off-season, and had a lovely stay! The hotel is easy to get to from the bus station, and my room was cozy. The hotel staff were accommodating and friendly, despite my very elementary Spanish skills. Breakfast is included, and consisted of tostada with cheese and meat, as well as coffee and cereal. I ate dinner here a few nights, which was good food, but nothing special, and generous portions. The general ambiance of the hotel is lovely, and I ended up extending my stay one day more than planned.

Little gem not too far from the ski area

Posted Feb. 7, 2018 on Expedia
Pros: Cosy and comfortable hotel with central heating and a wood burning stove in the bar. Large twin room with two patio doors so bright and sunny.
Cons: The lighting in the bedroom was very harsh. Some bedside lamps would help.
Location: Much cheaper than hotels in the ski village and excellent range of bars and restaurants nearby. Road across the valley can be a bit daunting.
The Juan Francisco is a small family run hotel in the lovely village of Guejar Sierra. It is excellent value for money.
