Modern, stylish hotel.

The hotel is very modern and smart. Staff are friendly. We arrived early in the morning and was able to leave our bags here until we checked in later. Short walk to Hamburg HBF, and the town hall.good location

The lift didn't work for most of our stay. The access to the hotel is either by a manual revolving door, or another door that they lock from early. Getting in and out with a pram was difficult and we have no accessiblity issues. The staff seemed oblivious to this. The toilet shower is in too close proximity to the sleeping area, if you stay with family if you need the toilet at night they will be woken up (i get this is a cultural thing also but I've stayed in many hotels and this is unusual). The bedsheets stained. The restaurant was closed for most of our stay. They charged 25 Euro's for a canteen breakfast in an office like space (presumably because their restuarant was closed). Location is great but honestly I will never visit another Barcelo anywhere, how they think treating guests like this is acceptable is beyond me. I travelled with my partner and our toddler.
