Worst experience and lack of privacy
Publié le 16 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayEvery year we go to a different cottages to celebrate our child’s birthday. This year, we booked this place to create a nice memory for us but it turned out to be one of the most horrible experiences ever. Our dog got off leash by mistake but we got an email from the owner within 5 minutes. The next door neighbor kicked on our vehicles 4 times. The utensils were like “toy kitchen stuffs”, the stove makes a loud noise, from nowhere the water drips in the restroom. We had our relative from the US in the afternoon and they were there to wish a happy birthday to our child and they left in 3 hours. Right after our relative ( couple and a child) left we received another message from the host and asked us to leave. Even we were disturbed by the people and loud voice from the next door cottage but we did not bother anyone and we acknowledged that they were there for fun too. Though we have a dog but the living room smelled pet from the previous stays. The bed sheet in the main room was dirty, found many hairs, luckily we bought our own sheets.
We booked this place for 3 nights stay but we were asked to leave the place on the 2nd day by the host. We cleaned the place and left it in the same condition that we were provided, we left peacefully at 10 am. The host did not provide us with the refund for the one night.
I would never ever consider this place for my vacations in future.

This review is false and retaliatory, it should not have been allowed to be posted.
You were not asked to leave; you were removed by VRBO as you caused a safety concern for the property, yourselves and entire neighbourhood by your actions and multiple rule breaks.
A refund was not requested or processed, the one night left in your stay did not even cover the damages left behind from your group.
Out of over 150 stays across multiple booking platforms, you and your group were the only one we’ve had to remove from the property.
We pride ourselves on providing a 5 star experience, which is why we continue to achieve Premier Host status year after year.

Beautiful place

Clean and cute

Amazing cottage on the water

Selkirk get away

Nice and relaxing place
Publié le 18 août 2022 sur HomeAwayLoved the property. Had a very relaxing time off. Lake water in the backyard wasn’t deep, kids walked around where there was no sea weed. Would love to go back again… hopefully next year. Rebecca was cool!!!

Pleasant getaway
Publié le 12 août 2022 sur HomeAwayTook a 2 day getaway just to recharge and it was great! Rebecca was a great host easy to communicate with and helped with all inquiries. Cottage is cute and clean! To fault of Mother Nature the lake had a bit of a seaweed build up. However I was able to create a plank at the shoreline with wood supplied to accommodate the issue so my pup and I were able to enjoy warm water swimming! Would definitely stay again.
