What a wonderful setting and unique place to stay. Villa Saladini is a 500 year old home just a few miles outside Florence and it has all the charm and interest you would expect. The appartments are carved out of the newestpart of the house and are modern yet filled with antiques. The rest of the house, of which we got a wonderful tour from Perla, is fascinating. The 3 kitchens, dating from the original one to the one created 200 years ago, are especially interesting. The site is convenient to the bus to Florence (we don't rent cars anymore, much easier) and close enough to the town of Impruneta to walk in. Perla and Marco were wonderful hosts. They offer a great deal more than the usual VRBO site and they were very attentive to our needs. We highly recommend this site.
