Great vacation
Publié le 15 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property is nestled away in the woods, very quiet!! The cabin is stocked very well. The view is spectacular!! Very close to Lake Lure/ Chimney Rock. We highly recommend it for a very relaxing getaway! We will be back!

3-generation getaway
Publié le 28 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayVery nice stay! We enjoyed the privacy of the cabin with proximity to Lake Lure. The cabin was perfect for our 3 generations: main floor BR for 89-yr old, plus 32-yr old w/ 2 dogs, and 68-yr old middle. Varying needs and all met!
One cautionary comment, and the reason for my one 4 star rating (accuracy of listing) - the fenced dog yard is secure and big, but it's very steep (not apparent in the pic), both the yard itself and the access steps. An old or very small dog could struggle. Ours were fine, but no ball-throwing.
Our host, Wayne, was very responsive, both with the usual communication (check-in, etc) and for a fix for an unusual big hitch (no water!). He got someone there pronto for a fix. In all, we really enjoyed our stay.

Very happy the 3 generations enjoyed the stay. The water hick up was a first for sure, but now I have a well repair guy. Hurray.

Perfect place for getaway

It's peaceful surrounded by trees

Tree house

Fenced patio is a very nice touch for the furry babies. Very central to the local restaurants and supermarket. I will definitely be booking another stay.

Publié le 24 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis cabin was perfect for a quick getaway. It’s within driving distance to almost everything. The cabin was also very clean, roomy and nicely put together with no odors. The only downside was the numerous bees flying around outside which made it very uncomfortable to take my dog to the bathroom throughout the day and to relax on the upper and lower decks/porches. Also, the fenced in backyard is incredibly steep and hard to navigate if you aren’t extremely careful. The views from the decks are beautiful. Overall I would definitely stay here again and would suggest it to others.

Exceeded Expectations
Publié le 1 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin exceeded our expectations. The owner goes above and beyond what is in the listing. Check-in process was seamless and simple. The cabin was in great shape and extremely roomy (more cabin than we needed.) All standard amenities were included, but the owner had "extras" there also (coffee, tea, condiments, small flashlight accessible in every room) We will be staying again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to others. The only negative I can think of is that the fenced yard is kind of a steep slope and our short legged dogs , bassett hound and beagle, had trouble maneuvering the yard. Not really a big deal, we just walked them through the neighborhood instead. The dogs really enjoyed the fully enclosed deck and the freedom to run around outside. Cabin is located pretty much within 15 minutes to everything (stores, restaurants, activities) Can't wait for our next visit.
