Tres bon accueil .avec un personnel charmant.Mais une chambre coté route tres bruyante.Pas de climatisation .juste un ventilateur de plafond.L
Salle de bain tres petite.
Tout celà est dommage et la chambre ne vaut pas ce prix là malgré un tres jolie village.

Sorry. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about the traffic or the unusually hot weather that we have been having. A ceiling fan is usually enough........ This is England after all. Bathrooms do vary from room to room, but all rooms are on the small side anyway. However, I do feel we represent good value in one of the most exclusive parts of London, but I thank you for your comments.

Excellent place to stay. Enjoyed staying at La Gaffe. Everyone was so helpful. Very peaceful and quiet place to stay. It was easy to get to and you can walk anywhere.

Would not recommend
Publié le 22 déc. 2023 sur HotelsI don’t understand why there are so many good reviews, it’s very misleading. Location was good and shower pressure strong, but that’s about it. Bed was terribly uncomfortable. Pillows were old and gross and had other guests hair on them. Walls are so thin I could hear the man in the room next door snoring, coughing, flushing the toilet, etc.

I am very sorry to read your review and that your stay was not as comfortable as it could have been. And as you have submitted it anonymously, I do not know what room you were in. We have good reviews for a reason. We are very upfront about what we are and what we offer. You would have received two emails from us before your arrival, explaining that we are old buildings from the 1850s and all rooms are quite simple and compact. We understand what we offer is not for everyone and we will always try our best to help with any issues.... As long as we are made aware. The vast majority of our guests love what we do and return again and again. I am sorry we were not for you.

My room was absolutely tiny. Although this was just a work trip and somewhere to sleep, the room was uncomfortably small. Breakfast was included. Coffee was lovely and the staff couldn’t be more helpful.

Thank you for your comments. All our rooms are small, and we do send out an email before arrival to explain that we are comprised of old buildings from the 1850s and that all rooms are compact. I understand that this is not for everyone and our singles are very small rooms. If you liked what we offer but prefer a bit more space, a standard double or twin might be more suitable.

I booked this property purely based on the reviews, I would not recommend this property to anybody it was dingy and dirty, I was appalled when I seen it and walked straight back out, I would expect this level of accommodation in a third world country

We have good reviews for a reason. And they are written by guests who actually stayed here and did their research properly before booking. We fully understand that what we offer is not for everyone. Simple rooms in old buildings from the 1850s can be a challenge for some. This is why we send out an email as soon as you have booked to give a bit more detail. If it is not for you, fair enough. But it is more than good enough for the vast majority of guests that do stay here.
