Paid pet fee for ESA

First problem was having to pay a pet fee for my service animal, and when I told them he was an ESA, they said they allowed dogs but not generally cats. Even though he’s certified. So was frustrated there. Second problem was the smell, while it wasn’t potent, you could clearly tell smoking was done in the room even though I booked a non-smoking room. Third were the stains on everything. From the sheets to the mattress cover to the towels. There was very little space on the bed that had no stains. And all the towels I had in the room had stains on them. Very disappointed in this stay. I usually have a great visit and prefer to stay at Econo lodge because I am a Choice Hotel Member, but I would not recommend this location.

Ok for what it was

The good- Price was great, 45 min or so easy commute to Louisville. Food and walmart/ shopping nearby. Staff was excellent. The bad- hardwood floors were sticky and dirty, not the cleanest; walls are thin and was woken up several times by a couple next door arguing. Instead of charging my card $50 for a deposit like they mentioned, they charged me for the entire amount of stay again for a deposit which basically crippled my trip.

Supposed to be a non-smoking room, but it's very obviously regularly smoked in, as I suspect all their rooms are. Smelled absolutely horrid, but that's what you get for the price I guess.

I liked the location, pretty close to anything I needed. The bed was horrible, super lumpy and squeaky. Definitely needs to be updated!
