Legends is about 1 mile from town and a shopping center across the street. It's like Cheers where they remember you. It is a modest resort but everything is clean and everyone is friendly. We have been coming for more than 10 years and are already booked for next year. It's a hidden gem. We also recognize fellow guests from year to year. It is safe and we've never felt threatened as long as you're smart about what you do. Don't go down dark alleys at night looking for trouble, just like when you are back home. There is a free shuttle to the sister hotel on the cliffs and it's a different vibe but I would recommend visiting there too. We love the beach so that's where we hang out. Lots of good local restaurants near by or eat at the resort. Small buffet but you can always find something to eat since there is a menu too. It's our home away from home.

This hotel is in need of a major restoration. Rooms are musty and the decor is from the 80’s . The rooms are clean, interms of sheets , no dust but the furniture and bedding is archaic which just made the room feel dirty . Location is great as you are on the 7 mile beach stretch and the pool across the street is pleasant.

We loved legends. Its is clean and on 7 mile beach. The staff is great. Jennifer, Miss Jean, Melissa, Marie, Cullen and cant forget the transportation driver Norman

I stayed at this resort in 2013 and was surprised to see nothing has changed. Room was extremely old and outdated. We had the beachfront room, and was unable to see out the windows (on arrival) due to sea spray, the fridge was covered with old food and finger smears all over the outside. Seemed to be no surface cleaning or disinfected in the whole room, could use some deep cleaning. Staff seems to be unhappy, unfriendly, and uncaring. Food was a hit or miss. Best Alfredo, worst pizza. Food and drinks expensive. For $300 a night I expected way better. Will not stay there again.
