High marks for location

On the plus side: the breakfast was ample and attractive. Eggs were made-to-order. On the minus side: The elevator is barely big enough for two people with packbacks and is frequently out of order. On the plus side: the handsome, next-door restaurant serves excellent food graciously. The courtyard is lovely when the weather is good.

With 28 degrees outside, the heat shuts off in the rooms around 10pm and come back around 8am. If you get up early in the morning, taking a shower in an ice cold bathroom is not pleasant. My room 118 had a weird smell like mold and was very unpleasant.

Nice hotel in a former winery

The hotel is still in a good general condition. The walls in some rooms may need repainting due to a number of stains from suitcases or other objects. Nice and spacious sauna area. Good breakfast.

Value for money in Neustadt

Impressed by the whole hotel from the ease of parking to the check out experience. The room was a very nice size, bathroom had good quality fixtures and fittings and the bed was comfortable. Internet was super quick and free. Slept very well and it was nice and quiet outside to the inner courtyard. Breakfast offered a wide choice of cold cuts etc but no hot food items. 2 minor negatives - no air-con in the room and no minibar/fridge.

Great location, the staff are very friendly, the room is comfortable and well-equipped. I would definitely recommend.
