Close to beaches wineries and breweries
Publié le 17 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWell kept older little country house. We rented this house that was fairly close to turkey beach, wineries and breweries. And we really appreciated that the owner accept dogs and had a fully fenced yard .
It was a clean house. We also booked these place because we wanted to cook some of our meals during our stay. We just had some issues with that. There isn't much dishes and accessories at all. We were only 2 adults so we didn't need to much but if you come with a full family it would be much more complicated to do so. No barbecue either. But there's a small charcoal grill, which is not helpful since there isn't any charcoal. There wasn't any dishwasher detergent even when we asked for it.
There isn't any condiments or spices at all.
But there was a coffee maker, kettle, coffee, some tea and coffee whitener which we were grateful for.
The tv has a Roku stick that worked great.
There's a firepit in the backyard but no firewood.
As long as you come prepared, it's a decent place to stay for a family.

Publié le 1 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was not nearly as clean as in the pics. Also, tho it says it sleeps six, there is not nearly enough cutlery or cooking utensils for 6.
The BBQ was filthy and was full of gunk - tho we asked to have it cleaned, it never was, and trying to cook a full meal that was to have been grilled was a problem with only one small frying pan.
The beds were comfortable, but had only a sheet a light comforter on each - no spare blankets.
We couldn't get the inside fireplace to come on. We asked for help, but got no response.
We were very glad to have brought our own lawn chairs, as there are none there, and the old patio set on the porch had no cushions.
I think this might be a good "party house" for young people who don't plan to eat or do much else there.
We suspect the owner was away while we were there, which may be why our requests went unanswered, but that's a rationalization, not a justification.

I received no requests whatsoever from the guests. And there is more than enough cutlery for 6 guests. There is a picnic table as well as patio furniture which does have cushions. The fireplace was set to 22 degrees when the unit was cleaned so I am not sure as to the issue and again I recieved no message asking for help so I was unaware. The BBQ itself did have a small amount of residual charcoal soot in the bottom of the BBQ. I had emptied it prior to the guests stay but I must have missed a small amount. There are also several pots and pans for cooking.

Another great stay; wonderful property; spacious, clean, all required amenities; large backyard and well fenced (for our happy border collie); perfect location to reach out to multiple beaches and nice restaurants.
Have stayed here in the past and will stay here again… thanks Myles for being a great host!

Publié le 4 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was clean but dumpy. Old furniture, plastic mattress covers and a plastic covering the windows gives the sense of icky. Folding chairs for the kitchen table and the broken glass in the kitchen door gives the feeling of sad poverty. Screens were ripped and recovered poorly in places. Updated electrical was NOT done to code. This was NOT a relaxing stay. Just a step better than a rented camper.
Looks like the money ran out for renovations and not enough care was put into it.
Will not recommend until major fixes are put in place.

Great little rustic cottage.

Everything was clean and tidy. Coffee, towels and linens supplied.
Definitely recommend and would stay again !
