Lovely stay in Dunston

Lovely venue, comfy beds, nice bar and conveniently close to Norwich whilst remaining outside the hustle and bustle. Will return.

Avoid restaurant

Room was filthy and falling apart, did give us £50 refund as a goodwill gesture but for the price we paid for a 4 poster room expected clean and not holes in doors and furniture falling apart, dirty, no toiletries. Restaurant was horrific service so slow rude staff

Amazing building+location. Everything else average

Room okay with a comfy bed but bathroom well over-due a refurbishment. The floor tiles were damaged and felt like we were walking on broken glass. The building is impressive as are the grounds. Evening meal was okay on first night but second night in the bar we had to wait over an hour for mediocre burger and chips, which with a small beer and G&T cost £70! Breakfast was chaotic as there were just too many people and the quality of juice, coffee, overall food was poor. It was so disappointing. Pool and Spa are nice but again average. Staff all very friendly and provided refund when we checked out for rubbish evening meal.

Wry good value for money spa facilities were excellent, room dated but had everything and was very clean staff very helpful and lovely

Slow check-in, noisy neighbours…

The hotel is nice overall, how the check-in process was a bit slow with a large queue formed at the lobby area. Instead of scaling up the check in staff it seemed to go from 2 to 1 person and back 2 when they realised the size of the queue. Room was comfortable, comfy bed but very hot. The windows don’t open very far so made little difference to the overall temperature. Noise is a problem with very little sounding proofing between rooms. I was kept awake most of the night by neighbours having loud sex. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and of a very good quality. I didn’t make use of the facilities onsite such as the pool and gym, spa but it looked very good.
