I booked a reservation months in advance based on the location and pictures; at the time of booking it said rooms in the area were selling out fast or some locations had no rooms left for the dates I needed. The day I go to check in the hotel staff informs me that they are not honoring pre-paid reservations. They also informed me that the hotel has not been taking reservations via third parties for the previous two weeks. They informed me that there was rooms available but I would have to pay them directly and then I would get a refund through Expedia. The room and hotel didn’t look like the pictures and were not the cleanest. The room was possibly used as a storage since there was two older mattresses near the restrooms. The day came to check out and submitted my request for the refund via Expedia chat and was later emailed informing me that they can’t get a hold of the hotel property manager. I submitted photographic proof of the sign saying they were not honoring reservations and also provided a direct contact phone number for the person in charge of the hotel. I was once again told that they couldn’t process a refund. I called the hotel supervisor and informed them Expedia was not honoring my refund; he then informed me that the hotel itself used OYO properties in the past to confirm reservations but they were having issues with fees and payments through OYO; he suggested to tell Expedia to contact them. I have yet to be contacted regarding my refund!

The room was disgusting. It was really dirty, mold in the sink, grime, no hot water, fan was dusty and the tawels and bed stuff were old n stained, cockroaches size of a mouse. I dont recommend it at all

Not accurate pictures, very worn and dirty

Warning, the hotel looks nothing like the pictures. The pictures must be at least 10 years old. This is very deceiving. The hotel is very worn down and dirty. We paid for 3 nights but ended up leaving after just 1 due to the room being dirty and not feeling comfortable. There were stains on the sheets, the shower was filthy, we didn't get towels in the room and had to ask for them. When we did get them they were also stained, grey and old looking. The owners didn't speak any English which meant we couldn't communicate our issues, so we decided it was just best to lose our money and leave without trying to get a refund. The owner did seem to care when we left, but it was just too hard to communicate with him due to us not speaking Spanish and him and others working not speaking English.

Amazing people , safe and their dog it’s adorable. Mario and Margarito are just amazing guys I want to thank this hotel I stay in for everything . God bless Marilu ❤️

TERRIBLE CLEANLINESS!!!

Ceiling fan would drop dust all day long. There were bed bugs on my first night, and I found a cockroach on my second. I didn’t bother staying my third paid night.

This is a cheap hotel, but unfortunately fell short of my expectations which I don't think are particularly high. The room measured about 3.5m x 3.5m, basically big enough for a double bed and space to walk around it. The description on hotels.com says 20 meters square. When you are dealing with small rooms, quoting a size that is 60% larger than the reality is not acceptable from my perspective. The toilet didn't flush properly, leaving it dirty. I was there for two nights. The room was not cleaned. I'm not sure if this is policy or if I was unlucky. WiFi didn't work in the room but I guess for a cheap hotel that shouldn't be a deal breaker. Staff were friendly and quickly replaced my key as it had bent and nearly snapped in the lock. It's about a 5-10min walk into the town, or a similar distance to the bus station.

Quaint hotel with good food.

All was fine & nice pario they were cleaning up so I did not get to use it but lobby & restaurant very comfortable. Wi-fi worked good there but was so-so in room. Super friendly staff who told me how to get around. 1 of the cooks drive me to the mini-bus station, for a fee so I would get on the right one to Puerto Angel because different service take you different places. Cost a little more than taxi but avoided any hastle or waiting.
