A wonderful stay
Publié le 26 févr. 2024 sur HotelsWhat a great place to stay. Jakes and Jane are wonderful hosts making sure we were well looked after, we had an early start on Saturday and would miss breakfast, they made sure we had a packed lunch to fuel us for our walk on Dartmoor.
The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and warm. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were very quiet.
Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of cereal, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and hot food all freshly cooked.
I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area

A beautiful Manor House set in it’s own ground. It has been well maintained, when you enter the property it has a homely comfortable feel. It is immaculately clean, and you know everything is done well with great attention to detail. There is a small bar, but you are not able to have an evening meal at the property but just down the road there is an amazing pub what offers superb dining.
The breakfast at the Manor House is one of the best I have had, you eat in a pleasant dinning room. The coffee tastes lovely, I am unable to fault the breakfast. The bed was comfortable all linen of good quality

Excellent hospitality and stay.
Publié le 29 sept. 2023 sur HotelsJen and Jake were excellent hosts, warm welcome from entering. Very comfortable nights sleep both nights. So quiet and peaceful. Breakfasts were plentiful with wide choice and cooked to order.
Only minor point was dusty TV at back, noticed when tilted towards sofa.
Lack of dinner service not an issue as very good pubs within 5 min drive and more within 15.
Excellent location to discover Devon.
Definitely stay again and recommend.

Publié le 18 août 2023 sur HotelsStayed just for the one night but didn’t disappoint. Lovely small hotel close to the moors. Very well appointed, Everything was as perfect as we could have hoped. Rooms and hotel immaculate and very clean. Service and food couldn’t have been better. Great value (I’d even say cheap for what you get, compared to other hotels). Definitely would recommend and next time in Devon, we will be booking to stay again.
