Worst experience ever at hotel

Check in experience was wonderful. That young lady was very friendly and helpful. All I know is she had four kids. I don’t know her name. But felt good checking in. The bathroom gave us trouble. Needed to call for a toilet plunger which the nice girl brought up right away and asked if we wanted her to plunge it for us. We said no. But the offer was there and appreciated. The toilet ran off an on all night and the exhaust fan did not work. Would not have complained about it but we did want to upgrade to another room. Pay them more money and upgrade. The front desk lady in the morning said basically they had no rooms. Even though the parking lot was empty. She didn’t even look at her computer to see when it would be ready. She just said most people just extend their stay in same room. She was extremely rude and condescending. We booked an upgraded room on hotels.com and asked for upgraded room w/early check in,told them why. That same horrible lady called five minutes later and lied and said I complained that “nothing worked in the room”. That’s not at all what I said.She said “I TRIED to EXPLAIN TO YOUR HUSBAND” that we have no clean rooms and she then said nothing would be ready until at least 3pm. I feel this was out of spite. They were not even going to try to get it ready early. I have never been treated so badly at a hotel that I was trying to give even more money. I already booked tonight but will never stay here again. And would not recommend it.

Staff was very courteous and helpful. You can’t beat the location downtown. Could use an upgrade but overall solid.

This is a basic college town hotel. It is dated but clean. Walking distance to many bars, restaurants, and shops.
