Loved its location…rideau mall…byward market! Parking across the street cost us $20 for 24hrs!! Park and walk everywhere!

Ventilation issues made it a painful stay

This hotel is well located but the ventilation system has serious issues. First I was on the 9th floor and was boiling, my room felt like a sauna and I couldn’t sleep all night. I asked to change rooms, they put me on another floor which also had issues with room temperature, it was suddenly too cold and I had to crank up the heat so the air wasn’t cold. It’s probably the worse ventilation system I’ve seen and I travel a lot. The room was ok but bathrooms felt a bit out dated. Great located and the staff is very nice.

I frequent this hotel often because of business travel. Overall, it’s excellent but there are a few things that annoy me and which I feel should be much better dealt with by the hotel. First, the water pressure in the showers is abysmal. If you have long hair, good luck rinsing it. Terrible. Second, the floor of my shower has often been a bit gray, even though the rest of the washroom is clean. The hotel rooms are also kept at a crazy 18C before guests check in, so the first couple hours of your stay in the room (during winter months) are painfully cold. Finally, there’s not enough light in the rooms. There are 3-4 tiny lamps placed across the room, but no overhead light to really give good visibility.

The shower was bad - very difficult to regulate, was a turn-off. The toiletries such as lotion was poor quality and difficult to dispense. I need to know these are addressed before returning.
