I have stayed here many times. It has a nice location near KU med center. It has shopping center and restaurants nearby. It has easy access to the interstate.It's actually located in a somewhat quiet area. It has been showing signs of age though lately.

There were police cars there each night. Since we are local, I asked why. They stated there are unsavory people and goings-on. We asked to leave early due to concerns for our safety and they refused to reimburse us.

The hotel was closed down and all locked up. I was told it was bought out by a foreign company to be turned into apartments. This was all done without the hotel and or expedia letting me know they were closed. Showed up and no number to call. Called expedia and had a 90 minute wait. Booked another hotel(0 Degree temp) and was asked after they finally called back why I had booked another hotel. Very unpleasant.

THEY CLOSED FOR GOOD REASON!

Immediately upon entering my room I knew o wasn’t staying the night. Holes in the wall, finger print ink on the walls from a crime scene that had clearly taken place and not cleaned up after. Broken furniture. It felt unsafe! I went directly back to the front desk and informed the staff working I would like a refund and would be staying else where. I was told the hotel was closing as of Monday and I was “lucky” to get what little service I was getting. And indeed come Monday, the phone lines no longer work. I have yet to get my refund or deposit back for a stay that only lasted one hour, enough time for my Uber to arrive and take me somewhere NICE!

At check in they required a $100 cash deposit. I have stayed here before in the same type of room and no cash was requested. I was told they were

The ice machine was far away and since it was rainy and cold, we didn’t get out to get any. The window screen was worn and flapping in the wind. There really wasn’t any breakfast to speak of except coffee and waffles. The room was mostly clean, definitely not deep clean though. The bathtub looked clean until filled and then you could scrape a film off it. Bed and pillows were very comfortable though. For the price, it was sufficient.
