Had an excellent stay at the mama Shelter hotel, great friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. Really fun hotel with lots to do, arcade games, pool tables etc A

Mama shelter is situated in an area away from the busiest part of Prague, but with a tram stop right outside your door and trams turning up every 10 minutes it's only a 15-20 minute ride into the heart of it all.
The staff were awesome, the vibe they have going on there is great. The room we stayed in was just the basic one but the bed was huge and very comfortable, bathroom has what you need and the shower is great after a long day of walking. Only down side is the lack of storage area for your clothes if you're staying 5 days like we did ended up living out of our bag.
Breakfast in the morning has a great selection to choose from so you won't get bored. The restaurant is open in the evenings as well if you don't manage to find something to eat anywhere else in Prague. In the lobby they have pool, football tables, loads of seating and best of all free pinball and retro arcade machines to play. They have an outside area as well which I can imagine would be great when it starts to warm up a bit.
My partner and myself really enjoyed our time in Prague and knowing we got to come back each evening to Mama shelter made our trip even better, Mama says book this hotel and you'll be happy with your decision.

Great hotel. It is not near the old town but Uber was fairly affordable in Prague so no issues.

The only issue (traveled in February) is that the air conditioning is not controllable in the rooms OR they have manually set them not to go below 22 Celsius so I was very hot in the room. Everything else was great, but I’ll likely stay somewhere else next time.
I must mention that when I brought the heat issue up to the front desk, a tech came and adjusted something in the room but when I told reception that it did not help they offered me a slight discount on the booking for the inconvenience. Great hotel overall!

I’ve stayed at this property multiple times and it is always extremely comfortable. The restaurant has ordinary food but it’s a great convenient option. Staff is super kind and efficient.
