Family & Friends Weekend in Rangeley

We enjoyed the pool table, ping pong, air hockey, hot tub, and just relaxing on the porch with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. It was a perfect place for us to gather and enjoy time together. Thank you!

Wonderful mountain getaway

It’s a nice, quiet spot, but still close to some great skiing, the town of Rangeley, and has plenty to do on those low-key rainy days - a full games room, great hot tub, wonderful oft with a gas fireplace, and a beautiful deck to enjoy the view of the lake and mountains. The owners are also great - they were happy to adjust our dates due to a winter storm. Definitely recommend for any family looking for a quiet getaway!

Perfect location to Rangeley Lake and snowmobile trails

The proximity to the snowmobile trail was perfect. Rangeley is a beautiful area and we hope to come back in the warmer months to check out some hiking and mountain biking. The layout is perfect for separation/privacy yet has lots of comfy places for everyone to hang out together as well as cozy nooks to read a book. Our dog Bubba, a large Newfie, loved swimming in the lake where the setting is peaceful and serene with epic views

Three living and entertainment rooms, but none on the first floor. Highly suggest renting the ATV to anyone with mobility issues. New placemats will be put in place.

Disappointment in Rangeley
Publié le 15 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThe pictures don't accurate depict the condition of the home. It's a beautiful house but is in desperate need of TLC inside and out. I had a young child with me and there were safety hazards that address or mentioned to me. If they have someone who cleans and/or does general up keep, they should find someone knew. The cleanliness of the kitchen left a lot to be desired. I found a mouth retainer in a cabinet as an example. The hot tub wasn't clean either. There was some sort of blackness on the headrests. The water didn't look clean. There were bugs and debris in it when first opened. We felt like they weren't prepared for our arrival. The gentleman who was there when we arrived said they were going up on the nightly rate. I can tell you it wasn't worth it at the rate I paid. BEWARE.

I do accept responsibility for the hot tub condition as I failed to notify the service people prior to this party's arrival. The safety concerns were a couple exposed nails on the log picnic table (which has now been removed), and some spent sparklers on the lawn left by preceding renters. There were some minor mold issues from the wettest July in decades.
But a two rating? Seriously?? Still, I will never ignore an opportunity for improvement.
In response to the emailed complaint about the "yard sale" dishes, I replaced one of two sets of near new condition quality china sets. The pots and pans were looking worn even though they were only two or three years old, and they were also replaced with higher quality ones. Lastly, I spent a week and a half working on the small details, including repainting most of the outdoor trim.
