Checked in late in evening so expected staff would be minimal, the person looking after the check in also managed the liquor store downstairs. Once I got into the room I could not get the heater to work but fell asleep anyway. In the morning I had discovered a mouse had attacked my wrapped sandwich on the desk in the room. I left around 7:00 am and was only able to report it to the hotel when staff arrived around 9:00am. They were friendly about it but what was done is done.

Unbelievably noisy. If you want to sleep, don’t book this hotel. Super loud music pumped and thumped underneath our room all night. The noise in the hallways and adjoining rooms was also keeping us from sleeping. While it’s charming in the sense that it’s historic, it has zero sound proofing and was the noisiest overnight stay I’ve ever had. Too bad too as the room was otherwise decent. If you’re going to be up partying downstairs all night then go for it, but if you actually want to sleep, don’t stay here.

Hi there,Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, the Two Bedroom Junior Suite is our only room type that is directly above our bar. We do try to make sure that is stated everywhere that this room type is noisy. Every other room type is not above our bar and quiet.

Posted Feb. 14, 2024 on HotelsThis is a wonderful location and so convenient to the airport and Tsawwassen Ferry terminal. I was unable to make my last reservation due to a delayed flight. Even though the time limit had expired they still refunded me! travel to Alberta from BC frequently and this gesture has made be a very loyal customer. How refreshing to be treated like this! Thank you! Sincerely.
