Nice place to stay
Posted Mar. 7, 2024 on HotelsWe stayed at this hotel because I accidentally made reservations there (similar name to the one I wanted).
There was nothing wrong with it. Check in was easy and pleasant.
The room was clean, everything worked (yay for the heating/ cooling unit!). The hot/ cold was reversed for the shower but they worked just fine. There is a mini fridge, microwave, iron & hair dryer.
The place is remodeled, but there were no USB ports in the room. Thank goodness we've got experience with that and planned ahead! Our Fire Stick worked with the TV.
The breakfast was very mediocre. It's obvious they try to cut costs by using dehydrated eggs and bargain sausage. Everything else was standard "free breakfast" stuff - muffins, English muffins, toast, bananas, waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal. Biscuits & gravy only on weekends, so we didn't get to try those. We ate what was offered and we were thankful for it.
The location was super, with access from 2 streets. Easy to get to all of Ruidoso from there.
Anyway, this hotel didn't win me over as a new favorite but it was nice enough and I could recommend it.
