Would absolutely stay again. Only 1 negative.

We loved our stay here. The only real negative we found was the smart TV wasn’t smart accessible because they block everything. It wasn’t life altering, but when we were settling down at night, we would think about watching a movie together and we couldn’t because we couldn’t connect to the TV. But there are ports that you can plug into (hdmi) if you remember to bring a device to cast to. Perfect location in the center of Manchester. Very walkable, whether it’s to the mall, to get food or go explore the city. Very spacious. Booked the two bedroom suite. The kitchen had everything you could need for basic cooking. They let you know when you check in that they will give you more towels and clean throughout your stay but for an additional fee. Unless you’re staying more than seven(?) days. So make sure you hang your towels up and stay tidy. There’s also a washer/dryer (which we used). Sainsbury was directly across the street, so it was very convenient to run over if we needed anything and an Aldi in the mall which is within walking distance.

Everything would of been perfect except the hotel took money for a city tax at 2:30 in the morning but didn’t advise us that we had to pay this on check in I had to ask why they took this. They also took £100 security deposit which is fine but it takes 5-10 days to get this back which I think is a long time to hold funds. The main thing that let the stay down was we went for breakfast and had to sit outside as they said there were no tables but there were loads of empty tables. We ordered our breakfast at 9:30 all for the same breakfast nothing complicated. We were still waiting for our breakfast at 10:30. We asked at around 10 am and they said it wouldn’t be long . We had to leave due to living in a different city so we asked again at 10:30 to be told it would be atleast another 15 minutes but we had to leave for our 2.5 hour drive so we had to cancel the breakfast and went without and this was a big let down and a waste of our time. The room was lovely and location great but attention to detail and customer service in these areas did let it down for us unfortunately

Terrible receptionist on the 12th Feb 2024

My stay here was great as always however when we arrived on the 12th Feb with my family, we all experienced a very miserable receptionist who was not very pleasant. It doesn’t hurt to smile and make your guests feel welcome. I would suggest further training on customer service. Such a a shame as the hotel and facilities are excellent.

Really loved everything about it! The location was amazing too. If I had to say a very tiny negative it would be that the beds are a little hard.

Apartment was beautiful couldn’t fault it, breakfast was included however we were not aware this had to be booked with the restaurant and the only available times when we checked in were 7am and 7.30am, not ideal for a Sunday morning!

We loved our stay at the City Suites Two, the reception staff was great, our apartment was clean, well-equipped and pleasant and we would definitely recommend this place. However, we had a dreadful experience for breakfast and when leaving the property. Breakfast: we were left waiting by the ebtrance with dew other couples for over 20 minutes. Staff were passing in front of us, without even acknowledging us. This was despite a number of tables being available and in all honesty, I've never experienced anything similar. When I eventually asked if this was normal, a very rude waiter didn’t even apologise. The breakfast was ok: I ordered a full English vegan breakfast which came with with sausages made with potatoes and peas. This again was disappointing as nowadays you would expect protein based sausages rather than a carbs based ones! The other issue we had was with the parking. We paid at the reception for the overnight parking and we were told that someone would've been at the barrier to let us go out. The car park is conveniently located just outside the premises but when we arrived at the barrier, therevwss nobody waiting for us. As we had no reception in the car park, my husband had to go outside to ring the reception. It took 3 attempts for someone to answer and then eventually for someone to come to let us out. The guy that came out again didn’t even acknowledged the fact that at this point we have been waiting for over 20 minutes. No apologies were given too.
