Modern et belle plage. Le service laisse à désirer. Pas assez d’employés, le service de restauration est ultra lent. Ca prenez jusqu’à 1h30-2h00 pour être servis. Il n’y a aucunes activités (yoga, pilatis, etc). Le gym est minuscule et très peu équipé. Potentiel énorme mais encore beaucoup de travail.

Très bel établissement, très bonne offre de restauration à la carte. En revanche les chaises longues manquent de matelas et le service est extrêmement lent pour obtenir le premier plat (1h en général). On attendrait un espace bar avec des canapés dans un établissement de ce standing.

Le design de ce site, la plage et les environs sont magnifiques. Il y a tout pour que ce soit parfait, mais les employés semble laissé à eux mêmes ( ils sont très gentil mais semble manquer de formation ou de support d'un gérant. Un employé est venu ouvrir notre porte de chambre en pleine nuit car une personne ( qui a abusé du tout inclus niveau alcool) disait que c'était SA chambre. Il aurait pu vérifier un peu avant de procéder...il manque "d'amour" au niveau de l'entretien du site et des batiments. C'est triste pour un beau complexe relativement neuf.

Propre et de bon goût. Nous avons eu droit à un accueil chaleureux et personnalisé. La nourriture est excellente le soir mais ordinaire le jour. Belle plage sans débris et algues.

It is a small resort, but nice. The food wasn't horrible. The alcohol was average. Concierge needs a little training. The information provided by her was not accurate. I kind of took charge. It was a good time. Nothing not to like, but it didn't blow me out of the water.

Flawed

Access can be challenging. By road it is 4/5hrs from St Jose and 1hr by mostly bumpy dirt road from what we believe is the nearest commercial airstrip at Nosara. First impressions are of an excellent international standard designer hotel. Large public areas are superb with numerous water features throughout. Our twin queen room with partial sea view was clean and spacious but the designer twin basin with no towel rail or hooks in the bedroom rather than bathroom was just bizarre. The balcony had a swing seat and other furniture and was quite adequate. The vast beach is largely unmanaged and is protected by an offshore reef to provide good bathing. The staff are friendly and helpful if lacking in the training expected in this standard of hotel. Tipping seems to be endemic and staff appear to expect tips for almost any attention to guests. We have never encountered this in any all inclusive before. The 3 restaurants are varied but appear to have been designed to cater for the largely North American guests. Dishes seem to have been designed by an Executive Chef but implemented by amateur cooks. We heard about food issues from other guests we met on-site and we suffered from sickness on our last night after eating in Tao restaurant. Unacceptable at anytime, but with a 26hr journey ahead it was a complete disaster. Overall impression is that it is an attractively designed hotel catering largely for North Americans which desperately needs to focus on its food offer.

The room assigned to us was not the same category that we purchased (no partial ocean view, no king size bed). The hotel response was that it was the last room available and blamed Expedia. Hotel customer service did not address our complaint and basically ignored us for 3 days. It was unprofessional and seemed somewhat dishonest. Expedia did nothing for us except call the hotel. Our room was dirty at our arrival; we decided to wash the sticky floor ourselves. Grounds and beach are nice. Breakfast and lunch food is ok. Dinner restaurants (asian & italian) are quite good with excellent service. Overall, resort seems overpriced. Buyer beware if you book a premium room, you risk to be disappointed with no partial credit or refund to compensate you.

The resort was beautiful. Always had good service at pool bar and at lunch. Breakfast and dinner not good service. The breakfast buffet would be out of eggs and no one around to cook fresh eggs. Or eggs were out but no serving spoons. Valentines day we were told we had reservations at Bocatto. When we arrived the restaurant was empty except for other confused guest who also had reservations. Finally someone came and told us restaurant was closed and we had to eat outside. After our meal was over people were in Bocatto eating. Our room was labeled ocean view but it was more resort view.

The staff was wonderful food was amazing and the atmosphere was to die for would definitely go back again!!!
