It's a very old property

Comfortable, friendly and affordable hotel and pub
Posted May 21, 2023 on HotelsA pleasant, town centre hotel. We enjoyed the friendly staff, decent, if somewhat dated, room and lovely food and beverages at reasonable prices in the pub/restaurant. As stated, the room was dated but clean. Only a few issues… The tv was visible from the sofa but not from the bed. Also, it was a Friday night with live music downstairs. Our window looked out over the front door so those hanging around outside were easily heard and did keep us up until after midnight. I knew of this issue ahead of time and was planning on being downstairs and enjoying the music myself, but a migraine sent me to bed early so the music and partying became an issue. However, if you plan on staying up late, you may enjoy it as the pub seemed to have a lovely, fun atmosphere. Can’t complain as the problem was mine. The town of Sandwich was lovely and hope to come again sometime. Would stay here again.
