RM 171 is the worst.

Posted Feb. 26, 2024 on Hotels
We had probably the worst room ever and the worst night of sleep. Rm 171 right next to the stairwell where kids and adults ran up and down making so much noise. Not to mention people smoking cigarettes in the stairwell. Let’s also not forget how the stairwell is also used for people to get into the building if they don’t want to go to the main entrance into the building. So at 2:20am all the people coming back from the bars made so much noise and laughed so loud. What was supposed to be a wonderful night in town ended up with the worst sleep on my life. I feel like the hotel should have told us Rm 171 was the worst and that we would hear so much noise from the stairwell.

Nice hotel and staff but high fees!

Posted Feb. 25, 2024 on Hotels
Nice hotel, grounds and exceptionally nice staff, especially the valets who have needed to help me as I have recently broken ankle. Unfortunately, the fees at this hotel are simply exorbitant beyond any I’ve seen at any of the major hotel chains across the country in the past three months, $30.00/ day destination fee, and 19% service fee on food purchased in the restaurant with taxes and tip on top of that I can’t even comprehend what it’s for Then a $30.00/day parking fee even for me, a 100% disabled veteran increased by $10/day as I gratefully tips the wonderful valets you have to give me so much help given as I rely on a walker for now please check the website and menu to confirm these fees but I paid over $100 in fees alone just for a three day stay and I have not encountered that at any other hotels or large hotel chains across the country in the past three months. It’s a very nice hotel, especially if you have children but for anyone a bit free conscious, you may want to consider another alternative.

Dear Deborah,We are delighted to see that our staff, especially the valet team, provided you with helpful service during your stay. However, we regret that some of our fees impacted your experience. Our team will review that this information is accurately displayed across our booking platforms. We appreciate your feedback and for being a valued guest. Should you travel back this way, we hope you will consider us for your accommodations again. Kind Regards,Monica HubertGeneral Manager

Nice hotel, staff but exorbitant extra fees

Posted Feb. 25, 2024 on Hotels
Very nice stay but the fees here are astonishing 19% service fee in the restaurant which doesn’t have much in the way of ours a $30 a night parking fee even for 100% disabled veterans fees. The fees for a three night stay were over $100 and that doesn’t include the 19% service fee for food which I honestly don’t understand, nice hotel nice people but I’ve never seen such a staggering rate. I understand Sonoma county is a high Dollar area, but this is just unacceptable and has become a dealbreaker for me with Hyatt.

Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure having you stay with us recently, and we appreciate your kind words about our hospitable team. However, we regret any disappointment or inconvenience caused by our fees. Please know parking fees have become a standard practice in our industry, and our Destination Fee includes complimentary coffee, infused water in the lobby, access to WiFi, and access to our outdoor heated pool and fitness center, among other things. We hope you enjoyed your time in Sonoma County and wish you safe travels.Kind Regards,Monica HubertGeneral Manager

Had an excellent stay at the Hyatt Sonoma while doing some wine tastings in the region. The rooms are large and the property is very nice. Easy access to several restaurants nearby. My only issue was the parking and “resort fee.” Resort fees are one of the more annoying creations in the hotel industry. It’s on par with baggage fees by airlines. It’s basically another tax we have to pay and you do pay taxes on parking and resort fees. Had an issue at checkin because some staff didn’t have access to see certain reservations but they eventually resolved it. Otherwise a lovely stay and a great weekend for wine tasting.

The issues you raise are important to us. Please accept our apologies for any pest concerns and for any disappointment with how the situation was handled. This does not represent our usual high standards, and you can rest assured that your comments will be addressed by our pest control specialist.
