No WiFi and no follow up by owner or Vacasa

Little details mean a lot

The rental does have the perfect location, it’s about a 15 minute walk to downtown which was great for us. We were looking for somewhere to chill and freshen up every day. But we were shocked to find that the towels had stains, there were no sheets, blankets, and/or pillows left for the pull out couch, the coffee table wasn’t even fully put together (we thought this could be a hazard to children), and the stair railing actually came apart with the lightest pull. Vacasa was responsive when we requested sheets. They asked if it was ok to have someone leave them in the rental if we weren’t there. We said that was fine. It was frustrating to then spend part of our day corresponding with someone who told us they had to be let into the rental, regardless of us being told that wouldn’t be necessary. Overall, we were happy with the basics of a place to stay, but the multiple small things made it frustrating at times. Not sure I’d recommend to someone.

Cozy unit in a great location

We appreciated the location of this unit - most of the historic district was withing 20 minutes walking distance. The kitchen was equipped adequately. Beds were very comfortable and there were lots of towels. Our challenge was the WIFI. We spent a lot of effort communicating with property manager trying to get it working - in the end had less than 24 hours online in our week's stay, and not at the time we needed it most! Issues lay with the owner.

25th Anniversary trip to Savannah

We had a lovely trip to Savannah. The home was very cute and located in a great area for walking downtown to shop and get to different restaurants. It was also well furnished and had most everything we needed. We did have an issue with checking in because we weren’t given the correct code, so we had to wait about 20 minutes which was a bit of a hassle. There was also an issue with the wifi, but other than that it was a great stay and we enjoyed Savannah and the home very much.

Not as advertised

The actual layout of the unit is fine, and what we expected based on the description (small and basic) and the location is great. The tagline in the description stated WiFi and on-site washer/ dryer - the unit had neither that worked. Reading reviews that came after i booked, i see that both issues were raised with Vacasa and the owner at least 2 months prior to our arrival, but when we contacted them, they denied that Wifi was advertised and said that the unit was due for a washer/ dryer upgrade but had no timeline. Since there was no internet, there was no way to watch TV either. We ended up buying a hotspot and paid for data, but because of the location of the unit, cell signals were weak, so it was not very effective. We were finally told that the cable provider would come to install internet, but they didn't come the first time and didn't accomplish anything the second time. They asked us to be at the unit for both of those visits as well as for a washer and dryer delivery. The washer and dryer didn't fit, so we ended up with no onsite laundry for our visit. We spent the better part of 4 days waiting for people to come to the unit for repairs or shopping for alternatives for internet service and visiting a laundromat We got so frustrated, we left 3 days earlier than we were scheduled to. We really enjoy Savannah and did during this visit, the distraction of our rental made it a little less enjoyable than we would have liked.

Close to everything nice neighborhood

The property was clean and in good condition. It was perfect and very centrally located to everything we wanted to see and do. Neighborhood was quiet. Was some cosmetic damage in the bathroom but nothing you wouldn't encounter with a heavily used property. I would definitely stay here again and would use any property managed by this company as well

Very dirty upon arrival

The home was very dirty, bedding couldn't be slept on. Washer and dryer did not work. The floors made your feet nasty. Outside lighting in pathway didn't work. We both turned our ankles. Roaches crawling on microwave. Ceiling fans didn't work. The pillows and mattresses were disgusting. They did send housekeeping over the first night with new linens at 10 pm. Then recleaned entire home the next day. Sent maintenance, but the tech to repair washer and dryer never showed. I was so disappointed and my daughter wanted to go home the first night.
