Bula from Naveria,Not sure what happened to you, Jale, as my team waited all day for you to arrive or at least call. in the end you were a NO SHOW! With no attempt to call us we cannot know when you arrive. We are always available to send our four wheel drive taxi to the airport to assist in transport. However, this is left for the guest to attempt to contact the Lodge and provide us with their necessary arrival information! If this is your first time traveling, please take note, so it does not happen to you again! Vinaka

Amazing staff and property! Felt like home. Only a handful of rooms. Felt like we had our own private chef. Food is delicious and highly recommend ordering their meals. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Grounds are meticulously kept up. It's a steep driveway, but the views are incredible and worth it. Wish we could've stayed longer. Highly highly recommend.

Thank you Tammy for taking the time to write us a review. Its a pleasure to read that you enjoyed your stay at the Lodge. We are small and do try our best to make a true Fijian hospitable welcome. Your appreciation of our Naveria Team and enjoyment of the Lodge and our meals is lovely to read, Vinaka!

Very embellished The small pool and mountain balcony views are shared amongst all (not private). Walls are thin, air con/fans barely work. Everything in the room was old and delicate. You can't eat in your room. There is no menu for anything. You can't buy bottled water and the rainwater supplied is actually driven up in a truck. The truck is not safe enough for children to ride in. And is the only option for getting to and from the lodge (at $15 per way). That said the staff are wonderful and kind, it was very clean. The views lovely. The rooms need to be upgraded and privacy/security upgraded. A menu offered. An actual safe (not a lockbox). And gates to prevent other guests walking in front of your windows. Fine for a night or 2 but too expensive for what you get.

Dear Robert, Thank you for your review. Our Plunge pool is just that, too plunge! perfect just to cool down and enjoy the magnificent view. We are an eco Lodge and built in natural timbers from our gardens. Our water is pure gorgeous rain water, free for our guests to re use their bottles. Occasionally we will run out and we have to truck water up. The truck is a four wheel drive and perfectly safe up our dirt road! Our menu is determined by Sarita, head chef, and her amazing curries are outstanding! I'm glad you were able to appreciate our tremendous views!

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous and super clean. I felt like a VIP from the minute I arrived. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the healthy breakfast in the morning was beautifully set up.

Best things about the lodge are the staff and the views. Staff are super accomodating, very friendly and great people to know. They’ll go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. The views are also incredible. Breakfast is light but filling - perfect for the hot weather. Swimming pool is small but nice for a dip. Only negative is that the only way up to the lodge is a series of steep hills. It’s pretty gravelly as well, so it’s difficult to walk. Even though there are stairs up to the lodge, it doesn’t go all the way to the street. It might be a good idea to hire a 4WD as taxis will not typically go up that driveway (it’s easy to drive around and was super convenient). The lodge does provide complementary transfer from the airport to the lodge, but you’ll need to figure the rest out yourself or pay for the service. Loads of mosquitoes in Savusavu so bring extra repellent! There’s a really nice swimming spot with coral and fish by Split Rock (6 mins drive from the lodge). 10 minutes walk from the lodge is the town with all the ammenities you need. The locals’ food is good and cheap - I recommend the pulao/palau that’s in the restaurant opposite Savusavu yacht club/next to Bargain Box. Copra Shed has a nice restaurant with vegetarian options (you’ll need to ask about it as it’s not on the menu) and a view. Overall, great place to stay and great introduction to Savusavu. There’s also a super friendly German Shepard dog on site for cuddles so 1 for that.

READ BEFORE BOOKING! this property is the equivalent of 21 flights of stairs up a steep gravel driveway. They say “free local transfers” but actually force you to pay $20 FJD each way to the main road. It is unsafe and very easy to fall on the steep driveway. As we were the only guests, only breakfast was an option, forcing us to go into town two a day (either hike or pay $20 each way). $80 a day for lunch and dinner, if you can’t do the hike. Not very relaxing. We asked for our subsequent nights to be refunded, the owner Sharon ignored our request. We asked for the free transfer to the main road (as advertised), which Sharon declined. Otherwise, the property is beautiful and the view is amazing. Staff member Jasmine was very friendly and an amazing chef. She did a great job at keeping us happy despite the fact that we wanted to get out of the place and stay somewhere with easy access. The driveway is steep and dangerous. If you want to hike up and down, be careful!!

Bula Robbie,Sorry you did not enjoy your stay at the Lodge. Yes I wish you had read the reviews as you would clearly see the Lodge is located on a very steep hill and require walking 8 minutes down to the main road. Guests have a choice of walking down and getting a taxi up. Our guests usually don't mind the walking, some actually love it! But if you are not fit, you will need a taxi, which will cost roughly US8 (not unusual to pay to go out for dinner)As you discovered Jasmine is a great cook and we just require a little notice, to prepare a fabulous meal. I up graded you to enjoy having a private deck and relax in the peacefulness of our jungle. I know how amazing it is to have such a lovely healthy breakfast over looking the Savusavu Bay. Sorry you did not enjoy our slice of Heaven.

Me and my wife had a great time at the property. The views are breathtaking and not to be missed. Sharon takes care of her guest very well. Her staff are amazing, Sarita and the other two girls. Had a great time. Please only drive a 4WD up the steep hill or work with Sharon to arrange pickup.
