Decent hotel, car park needs major refurbishment, although it’s not the hotels fault as I understand it’s council owned, but mind you don’t damage your car when using. As it looks like bomb damage from world war 2 that hasn’t been repaired, the tv needs to repositioned, wardrobe in the way when sitting in bed. Can’t understand why this hasn’t been addressed, evening meal was excellent, staff attentive and friendly, however cheapest bottle of wine £23, come on you can do better than that Brewers fayre just down the road, £11.80, overall decent but a little expensive especially as it’s low season, one point, its a thing I always expect was never asked how our stay was on check out, all very friendly etc but please enquirer with the guest if the stay was ok.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments following your recent visit.As you correctly state, the carpark is owned and maintained by the local council and as such, we have no control over its condition. However, free parking is a bonus not afforded in many other places in the vicinity. The TV’s in all rooms are fitted on movable brackets to enable them to be positioned as required. Our wine list compares favourably with similar establishments in the immediate area; we do not compare ourselves to Brewers Fayre. It is our usual practice to ask our departing guests if their stay has been enjoyable and we can only apologise if this was not the case on this occasion. However, we would expect any serious matters to be raised with us during the course of the stay.

A lovely quiet well organised hotel .. with lovely staff & great food … really enjoyed my new years evening at this hotel …
