Great location to do the IRONMAN 70.3 Happy Valley, just a few minutes from the stadium. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

The Check-In was terrible….There was one person at the front desk at 4PM Check-in time. We were online for one hour. We left and came back at 8PM to Check -In again.

Bathroom was not cleaned from prior guest thoroughly. We were walking on bath salts. Curtain rod was missing in main bedroom. No sheets on pull out bed and when asked for them to be supplied, was given folded sheets to put on myself.

Desperately in Need of Deep Cleaning

Honestly, when you book a hotel ranked 9/10, you expect a room that doesn't have pills under the desk (someone clearly didn't vacuum), a tub that doesn't have a permanent, disgusting looking puddle, a pool without caution tape up around the one end, and a place that doesn't look like it was due for a deep cleaning a decade ago. If you assume you're going to stay somewhere nice and clean - go somewhere else. I've booked one place worse than this on Hotels.com - a cheap motel with blood stains on the wall/floor. That's the bar. That's the only place I've been worse than the Penn Stater.

It was ok

Well there was no soap in shower. Vending machine wasn't working. Also hotel charged me $25 and i have no idea why. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Penn Stater is a big hotel with a restaurant, bar and gift shop. Room was big and surrounded by trees, which is so pretty to look out at. Definitely will go back!

Nice amenities but very disappointed when I asked for an extra blanket and comforter for my son and it never came.
