Strange rental

Strange experience. Toilet paper ran out first day and we were told to buy our own. Initial toilet paper was a starter kit. Also had to clean apartment to avoid $50 extra charge. Never experienced such rental rules. Suggest they advertise their rules before we rent .

Hello Athanasios, we advise guests on arrival that we supply a starter pack of toileteries and that they may have to visit a local supermarket to top up if required. We are also advertised as self-catering and do not do daily servicing which you inquired about replacing toweling and linen. You have a full laundry in the apartment. We advise guests that upon their departure we ask them to remove their rubbish to the bins located in the car parks next to their car. We also request that any dirty dishes are placed in the dishwasher and turned on. These small requests help our cleaning staff in preparing the apartments for the next guest and not wasting time washing dishes and removing unnecessary rubbish. You are not asked to clean the apartment.

Beautiful apartment and would definitely stay there again. A short walk to Gympie Terrace for dining out and a bus stop out the front to go down to Hastings Street. It’s also a nice walk to Hastings St.

Property location was great. The apartment itself was extremely disappointing, all doors and windows where open and all fans on when we walked but unfortunately it didn’t mask the strong smell of fresh and stale cigarette smoke and stale sweat, we found it hard to even freshen up in it the smell was so bad. There are two verandas in the apartment with sliding doors, we obviously thought we had securely locked them but our 5 year old was able to open it during the night and stand outside, this is a massive safety issue that the doors didn’t lock properly or so easily unlocked by a child. So for these reasons we left early and didn’t stay for the second night we’d paid for.

Hello Barry, Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at Metzo Noosa Resort. If you had spoken to us about the smell we could have moved you to another apartment. We can not understand the smell you descibe as we had cleaned the apartment ourselves and did not notice any unpleasant smell. The previous occupier was the owner who was there for 10 days and who does not smoke and has the doors open during the day as they enjoy the fresh air. We have been back to the apartment to do your exit clean and again could not smell anything unpleasant. With the door locks, the doors are fitted with locks as are all sliding doors but not key operated. Once again we apologise and maybe in the future you may wish to talk to the managers at the time and not wait a week to let them know.

The apartment was lovely.pool area great and amenities in tye apartment. 30 minutes walk to Hastings Street

A Quest like 2 bedroom apartment with all the amenities you can ask for. Easy onsite car parking, really good WiFi, two large balconies and excellent location are the key points for us. Gympie Terrace is just a walking distance where you can go for a morning walk along the river bank. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants for dine-in and takeaway foods. A bus stop is right outside our apartment. Free buses run to Hasting St every 15 mins. Famous Ricky’s seafood restaurant is only 5mins walk away. However, bring your own body soap, shampoo, dishwashing liquid and detergent for washing machine or buy from the nearest Woolies. The store closes at 5. Finally, really nice hosts. Good place for a few nights.

Good clean self contained apartments between Noosa and Noosaville. Recently renovated with modern furniture. It does however need window covering in the living areas as it feels very exposed and better towel rails in the bathrooms.

Hello Anna, thank you for your review. The apartment has blinds on the lounge room windows and an external blind on the rear balcony. Unfortunately, the way that the kitchen has been designed and the hot plate being next to the sliding doors onto the rear balcony you cannot install a blind due to a fire hazard. we will talk to the owner in regards to installing another towel rail or hooks in the bathroom. Hope to see you back at Metzo Noosa resort again.

Relatively clean and quite spacious That's where the good news ends We booked this property instead of other more spacious ones with better views because they claimed a heated pool. The manager at reception when we arrived claimed that the pool was a balmy 28-29’C - so the kids were delighted when they heard that. Turned out that just BS - we measured the pool at just above 22’c. Even the heat pump setting showed just 24’c as the set point - very very far from the claimed 28’c . One would think that when they are charging top dollar, they would not try saving a few dollars by setting the heat pump low - but nah, accepting your payment and then failing to deliver seems to be the order of the day. We’re people not penguins ... 22’C - 24’C IS NOT A HEATED POOL. As for the rest. Water views ... mean views of the water mostly obscured by trees. Not that good at all. The mattresses were virtually rock hard ... quite uncomfortable to sleep on. The Stovetop had no splashback - so we ended up having to cleaning oilsplash from the windows. There is very poor sound insulation between floors ... We had to put up with the constant sound of people above dragging chairs non stop on the tiles floors for long periods at a time - total audio hell! At its inflated price, this property seems to be abusing the fact that Australian’s are spending their cash at home during the global pandemic and properties are scarce. Poor value for money.

Dear Anonymous, Unfortunately if you don't come to reception and raise these issues we are unable to rectify the problems. We have no way of knowing which apartment you were accommodating when you don't provide a booking number or name on your review so we can investigate the claims regarding the beds. The heater is automatically controlled to adjust to the outside temperature but if you had notified us at reception we can manually override the system. Again, if you find other guests are making too much noise with their chairs we as managers, can ask them to be more considerate. Please remember if there are issues to always come to reception as we are always receptive and will endeavour to rectify the difficulties to make our guest's stay comfortable and pleasant.
