Dont stay.

Very disappointing. This hotel is used as a WYNNs hotel we have found out since and at the time we were staying there we could not park our car outside due to visitors cars. police were called to a unit opposite ours due to family issues. windows were broken and a lot of noise. Felt unsafe for my family. The staff tried their best but honestly this should not be an accommodation attached to Hotel.com

The room smelt really bad of cigarette smoke, the sheets stunk of cigarette smoke, there was holes in the door, it looked like it had been punched. The whole place felt dirty. Paint was flaking off the ceiling in the bathroom. 1 heater didn't work at all, the other looked unsafe to use. 1/2 a roll of toilet paper for 4 people to use. The property appeared to also be used as WINZ housing (this should have been disclosed). Trying to use the driveway was a nightmare as it was blocked by multiple cars. Would never stay here again and would not recommend others stay

The rooms were clean and beds made nice and fresh and the staff were welcoming. However, the rooms weren’t ready when we arrived at 3pm. We had to ask for tea & coffee, towels (twice), a heater, pillowcase etc. There was a hole, the size of a fist, in one of the doors. The parking was a shambles- no order, driveway was blocked several times. The decor is very outdated and is in major need of an update. Heads up, this motel is a Winz Emergency Accommodation so there were a lot of people in this reasonably small property and it was noisey at times.

Awful, tried to put me into smaller unit than what had been booked. Unit had non working lights , heaters did not work, No tea or coffee sachets or milk supplied, No soap in fitted dispensers, Old toilet roll had been wet and dried out. Other units had been let out to long term tenants who argued and used foul language. Rubbish and alcohol cans strewn around parking area and not cleaned up at any time. Unable to contact office to have anything put right and at checkout manager then decided he did not speak English. Credit card fees deducted on arrival not at finish. Do NOT stay here

The beds smell of smoke and our room had been changed from what arevasked for, we had to share a bed, there was no tv remote so can't watch the tv. There was only cutlery for two people even though it was a 3 bed unit whick we had 4 in, only two chairs and no tsble.

The bed sheets have not changed and found many hair in side the sheets. We asked a staff give us 3 clean bed sheets and we changed them by ourselves.

Most awful experience ever

We had previously stayed in this motel few years back and was happy with it, however the owners seem to have changed and when we got there they got our booking dates wrong and said they didn't have a room for us. There was also another family trying to check in and their booking was "cancelled". It was a busy weekend in taupo and we had nowhere else to go as all hotels in taupo, turangi and rotorua were fully booked! definitely not impressed. I suspect the owners resold the rooms for a higher price given demand is high. will never ever book there again, it was really stressful ringing around to find emergency accomodation at the start of a holiday!

Disappointing

This was our third stay at this property and both times previously have been very good, hence us rebooking. This stay, however, was very disappointing. We booked a 1 Queen Bed, Balcony with lake views room (which we have stayed in previously) & on arrival we were told that room was booked & we were put in a room with no balcony or lake view. When we questioned this we were told we must have got confused with a sister property closer to the lake! We had to ask for towels, a power board, a rubbish bin & had to finish making up our bed with blankets. The kitchen crockery & cutlery were grubby (we washed everything before using it) & the microwave was a complete no go!! When we came to clean up before we left we found tissues under the bed (yuck) and no sink plug in the kitchen. We hardly saw the “manager” & the neighbouring units were noisy (loud boom box speakers). Such a shame. We won’t be staying again!

Dropped in standard since last visit.

We have stayed here before, but this time we noticed a drop in standard of cleanliness. The kitchen floor was very sticky like it hadn’t been washed and there was a bottle lid and a dead cockroach behind the curtain.
