Dog Friendly

I look for places that are dog friendly. I have a 40 lb rescue that travels with me. Red Roof Inns are now among my favorite as they are no frills, clean, dog friendly places. This one was just that. And...not far from Buc-ees! We like to call them "Red WOOF Inns".

Never again

Arrived on Friday night, guy at counter was very pleasant. Got to room, the TV stand was chewed on and had something (ice cream?) dripped down the front and side. Paint missing on wall, floor so sticky my shoe came off. I was too tired so went to bed, bed ok, pillows awful. In the morning called desk and asked if someone could mop the floor during the day because it was so sticky. They said sure, housekeeping would be in at 10:30. Came back Saturday night and floor was still sticky in the same spots. Called desk and explained I had asked for floor to be mopped. He said they did. I said well it's still as sticky with the same spots as the day before. I asked if they had any cleaning wipes so I could clean it myself. He said the wipes were in an office he either couldn't or wouldn't access. So I went to get a washcloth from the bathroom to clean it myself. The washcloth had black marks on it hanging on the rack. I wet it and went over the floor in the stickies of spots (pics attached). I went to the desk to show them the floor had in fact not been cleaned (or they had the most inept cleaning staff ever). He told me it was 9:13 at night and what was he supposed to do about it. He told me I could talk to the desk staff in the morning if I wanted to. The a/c & Heat unit clicked on and off all night eve when turned to the off position, finally had to unplug it and it still vibrated for a while. At 2:50am on Sunday night a truck pulled up out back and ran equipment for an hour.AWFUL
