Very bad service

We came back late from a long walk in the Lakes and realize arriving in our room that they gave us a room with no blind or curtain !!!! We rang the Reception at 11pm they said someone was coming but nobody showed up. The following morning when we wanted to record a formal claim the receptionist just told us "sorry" It is a shame !!! Avoid this hotel ! You pay a high rate for the location but the rest is shameful !!

Superbes emplacement/vue mais service à revoir

Hotel très bien placé avec vue magnifique sur le lac mais un peu vieillot Petit dejeuner buffet avec pas mal de choix mais la qualité pourrait être améliorée (porridge préparé avec du lait plutôt que de l’eau par example) La douche était un cauchemar alternant eau bouillante et glacée sans qu’on touche au robinet et quand nous l’avons mentionné à l’accueil, aucune excuse, juste un “merci pour le feed-back”

Lake view room

Hotel is excellent. Staff are amazing and look after you as soon as you walk in. We got there before check in and left our luggage with them. Waited in the bar area which has excellent views of the lake. Our room was bang on clean, tidy and with a lake view. Breakfast in the morning was spot on again amazing views. Will stay again here.

The car park was located in a difficult to find area and there was nowhere to park outside the hotel to pick up the car park fob. The cost of £20 was excessive considering that the car park was not on site. The drinks in the bar were very over priced and we had to wait quite a while to get served. The menu for the restaurant as advertised on the website was very different to the one on offer, which had a very limited choice of options. There were limited towels in the room and for the price paid, I would have expected a better service. Overall ridiculously overpriced.

I booked a superior deluxe room with lake view. The view was great and the room was ok but thought it was much smaller than I imagined for a superior room. Also I noticed there was no air conditioning. Even though it was March I still had to have the window open , as I do get warm in the night. Reception staff were very friendly , but breakfast staff were very solemn.Breakfast was ok but again I was expecting slightly better if I’m honest. Overall I did enjoy my stay just had slightly higher expectations for the price of the stay.

We booked a deluxe room and we were provided with a room that had a skylight and no window we changed the room. We changed the room into considerably smaller one one with a small window at no reduction in the cost. I also informed it was a special weekend as we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and they were not even aware of it. Will think twice before booking a McDonalds hotel in the future.
